Ngu is generally considered a healthier, more authentic, and better option as it is made from burnt palm fruit ash, while Akanwu is typically a form of potash, which has potential health implications. Ngu is used to emulsify palm oil into a thick, creamy paste, creating the base for the abacha dish.

Three business tips you may not know:

1) As a business person, you need to realize that everybody cannot buy from you. Even if you're selling long life and prosperity, everybody cannot buy from you. Stop developing hátred for people because they refused to buy from you. The reason they refuse to buy is because they are not into your kind of market, they are not your audience, everybody cannot be your audience.

Do you know there are people who don't take sugar, no matter how popular it is. There are people who don't drink sachet water. They choose bottle water.

So as a business person, everybody cannot be your audience.

2) Don't keep any product for someone for a long time. Don't promise to keep a product for someone for a long time. If the person doesn't have money to pay immediately or in few days, tell the person when he/she is ready, you will order the product for him/her. Because at the end, the person may change mind and you might have lose potential buyers.

3) As a business person, if you start a business where people know you too well, you will mostly sell on credit because they will use familiarity to approach you. Chances of you saying "No" will be very slim. In this case, if you present yourself instead of your business, you will mostly sell on credit and it will lead to losses. So present your business to them, not yourself.

Another way to avoid debt is when you expand your business. If you're doing a small business, chances of selling on credit could be high especially in an environment people know you. If you want to reduce selling on credit, employ people like a cashier.

When you employ people into your business, buying on credit will reduce because when people come, they see your workers, not you. Your workers are not familiar

1) Never think your boss likes you more than other workers. Your boss only likes what you do for them.

2) Everyone in your workplace should not access your social media accounts, including WhatsApp status. Block some of them.

3) As a lady working in a maIe dominated space, don't always volunteer for office duties like sweeping or cleaning. Make room for the males to do them too, or you'll always be the one doing it.

4) Don't have s€xx with your colleagues. Most times it leads to see finish.

5) What you can't discuss with your boss, don't discuss with colleagues. They might use it against you someday. Some of them might be informants.

6) While you're working, have a backup plan in case you're dismissed tomorrow. Don't depend solely on your job while neglecting other sources of income else termination could send you to the scratch.

7) Be nice to the cleaners, gate men and drivers. They could show up for you when you least expect it.

8) When you want to involve in a long conversation over the phone, go to a private place and pick the call. Don't disturb others with long conversation. When you want to watch a movie, use ear piece.

9) When two senior colleagues are quarreling, don't take sides, stay neutral. Otherwise when they reconcile, you could face issues.

10) Document everything, keep records, take notes. Nobody is your friend.

11) Be mindful of the things you sháre in WhatsApp group chat.

12) Your colleagues should not know too much about you.

13) Don't be a worker who's always annoying maybe because of the way you talk or handle issues. Being likeable at your work place is an advantage. It can help you grow faster than just working hard. It can also help you gain favours.

14) Avoid séIIing to your colleagues, they may hardly pay. Avoid lénding money too.

15) Don't act too smart in the presence of your senior colleagues or boss. Acting too smart might attract énvy and other issues. Sometimes behave like you don't know and ask questions.

16) If the environment is too tóxic and you can't condone it anymore, leave. Your life, physical and mental health are important. Some people resign from their job not because of low pay but due to the level of tóxicity.

KITCHEN TIPS THAT WILL SAVE YOU STRESS

1. After opening liquid milk and you don't want to use all, Peel the label and cover the opening and place it in a cup of water.

2. After using tin tomatoes, pour fresh groundnut oil on the rest in the tin and keep aside.

3. After cutting yam use palm or vegetable oil to rub the leftover half so it doesn't go bad.

4. After frying meat, chin chin etc sprinkle ginger powder on the oil to remove the smell so you can use it to fry something else.

5. After peeling sweet potato use groundnut oil to rub hands to remove gum.

6. Boil unripe plantain with the back/peel to extract the iron in it and add to you plantain and it also helps it to cook faster.

7. Convert your remaining white yam, fried yam or roasted yam to porridge, there shall be no waste in this hard time.

8. Rob Vegetable oil or palm oil in your palm when slicing pepper, it will not pepper you, during and after slicing.

9. Never store Onions and Potatoes together because both produce a gas that causes either of them to spoil quickly.

10. Put two or three orange leaves in your hot palm oil on the fire. Let the leaves turn black before removing it.By then your palm oil becomes pure groundnut oil also giving your food a nice taste.

11. To avoid feeling a peppering hotness on your hands after cutting pepper with bare hand, scrub your hand with salt and palm oil then wash it

12. If you happen to over salt a pot of soup, just drop in a peeled potato. The potato will absorb the excess salt.

13. If your Soup or Stew goes sour, while warming it, add little piece of Charcoal and remove after warming, the taste will come back.

14. Never put citrus fruits (oranges, lemon, lime, etc) or tomatoes in the fridge. The low temperature degrades the aroma and flavour of these fruits.

15. If your salt is becoming lumpy, put a few grains of rice in with it to absorb excess moisture.

16. The most important thing for cleaning your kitchen is hot water. Even without detergent/soap, it can still give a perfect cleaning. Always use hot water whenever you are doing your kitchen cleaning.

17. The best and fastest way to wash your blender is to add water and detergent in it and then turn it on. This will give your blender a perfect wash.

18. Whenever your liquid milk is about to get spoil, just convert it to powdered milk in order to extend its lifespan.

19. When defrosting meat from the freezer, pour some vinegar over it, not only does it tenderize the meat, it will also bring down the freezing temperature of the meat and cause it to thaw quicker.

20. If you don't want your seasoning cubes to get soft and start bringing out water, add garri to the container where you put your seasoning cubes. It will remain strong and fresh.

So I quickly reached out to my supplier to send the goods while I pay her after sales

First I was skeptical because we just started business not long ago and I have not bought goods without paying before but I decided to try my luck and surprisingly she agreed,in her words " I trust you'll send the money" and I replied thank you for trusting me

I had to call her back to increase the quantity because another outlet was out of stock

Without hesitation,she agreed and I was so excited that I was trusted and I ensured I sent her money even before the agreed time

FACE YOUR FEARS

While growing up,I used to battle with stage fright
It was so bad that I almost cried one time while I was giving recitation as a Sunday school child

I was so shy to the core and I vowed never to do anything that will make me speak to the public 😂

Teaching was completely ruled out as what I can do

I mean i always felt like falling down whenever I'm in front of a crowd...it was that bad

While growing up I rejected every leadership role simply because I didnt have the boldness to speak 🙊

It went on and on until I went for youth service and was posted in a secondary school to teach,it was traumatic for me,but I had to face my fears

Then my fears became scared of me because I was surprised how a shy me was able to pass knowledge

To speak and I'm listened to
To give instructions and it's followed
To impact on lives
To be someone people look up to

Then I realized the devil 👿 was only using fear to stop me from fulfilling purpose

Today I may not be where I want to be

But far far above where I used to be

So face your fears
Only then you'll discover you have so much within
