Testimony time part 4 😅❤️

When we finally became current on the visa bulletin, it became another issue again to get an interview date from Nigerian embassy due to the backlog.

In other not to loose the opportunity, I started to think of other means of securing an interview appointment. That was when I got to know that you can actually transfer your case to other countries but there were requirements you need to meet before your case can be transferred such as having a resident permit from that country.

Brothers and sisters I had to go to Cotonou(my first time traveling to lagos 😅and to Cotonou), Benin Republic to secure a resident permit and with it I applied for my case to be moved to that country. It was approved but then again there were a lot of people there who were ahead of me and so there was no guarantee of me getting an appointment from that country.

I had to apply again to move my case to Cameroon! I was fortunate this time and after a few months I got my interview letter from Cameroon to come for my visa appointment in October 💃💃😂💃💕

What this meant was that I had to go medicals and that interview with everyone who was to relocate to the US with me in Cameroon!

And so brethren, that was how I and my entire family embarked on the journey to Cameroon(that journey was not for the weak 😂).

To cut the long story of how we went to Cameroon short, our interview was successful and our visa was approved!❤️🙌

To the God who did this great thing for me and my family, we say a very big THANK YOU 🙏 and to everyone who helped us one way or another, we are grateful ❤️

Testimony time part 3 😄💃🙌

I became documentary qualified for an immigrant visa on March 1st 2023. This meant that all things being equal, within a few weeks, I was to get an interview letter from the embassy stating my date for an interview appointment at the US embassy.

My excitement was out of this world and I began making travel plans 😅.

But all things became unequal 😭 and visa retrogression started in April the month I was to get my interview letter! 😭😭. What this meant was that, the immigrants visa(EB3) category that was initially current on the visa bulletin, was now moved back to 2020! And only those who became qualified for a visa in 2020 were the only ones eligible to get an appointment for an interview at the US embassy. Those who are on this type of route would understand this better.

Now the visa bulletin is published on a monthly basis and each month you have to check if your date has been capture on that months bulletin before you can begin to expect an appointment from the embassy.

People of God, to cut the long story short, I waited for 2 years and 3 months before my date(priority date: the date when your visa application was filled) was finally captured on the bulletin 😭😭. You can imagine how my hopes were dashed month after month from March 2023 till March 2025😅😭.

Too many people questioned if I had even passed the exam in the first place. Some thought I was dumb and didn’t know how other nurses were “japaring 😂😂. ( I wasn’t a big fan of the UKay 😅 so i wasn’t interested on that route).
