If there's anyone who has suffered marital bullying on air, it's me! I remember how many times I got lashed by some listeners about my marital status. They would say things like 'Lady Jay, go get married.'

Some even advised my guests to pray for me so I could get married like others. Some went as far as sending messages to the phone line asking me to stop handling any show about relationships because I am not married. I see 99 and only one remains to make it 100.

The only mistake we made is coming from a continent that helps you calculate your biological clock even before you do, Africans just help you calculate when you should get married, have children; they just help calculate your life.

Don't allow anyone to push you too far, just be yourself. This marriage matter will reach everybody one day. Stop the marital bullying.

Time flies!!!!!
What you have to do, please do it quickly. Looking back to 2003 when my elder sister got pregnant while preparing to go to school, it was hell for my family. Her husband had not formally married her the way my father wanted, since in my family, the rules are set from day one: if you get pregnant, you marry that person. I kind of love that rule because it's clear for everyone to know how to act.

Anyway, long story short, my sister's husband came and presented himself to Papa Joe with fear in his eyes. My father looked at him and said, "Mr. Man, you know what? I had the intention to send my daughter to school, but look at what happened. Right now, I am still going to do my part to make sure my daughter is trained, because none of my daughters will be married without going to school."

My sister's husband looked into my father's eyes and said, "Papa, I promise you, I will train my wife. Just trust and believe me!" Lo and behold, my sister's husband sent her to school, and immediately after she gave birth, boom! I became a big aunt and babysitter to this beautiful young lady here. As I speak to you, this is the product of that young baby standing beside me right now in her final year in university.

I am so happy and super proud. The journey wasn’t sweet back then, but I mean, look at us now!!!!!

I don’t know who's wearing the same shoes right now, but don't allow any mistake to pull you down in life. 😀 😀
