PREGNANCY CAN BE A JOURNEY-
In the meantime, two more friends announced their pregnancies, and one friend who had become pregnant was astonishing to me.
She was an “olosho” back then in university. I know her and her lifestyles, though she changed after marriage.
I was shocked how she gave birth fast. I have to be frank, it affected me deeply. I stayed in bed and cried all day, knowing how I was so chaste and decent as a young lady growing up.
I felt like a terrible friend, full of envy. I must confess.
I managed to wear a smile and joyfulness when I visited her.
After 3 years and 8 months of trying, one day, after my skipping rope session, I noticed a pinkish light blood. I was scared.
I quickly called my husband who concluded that it was infection, he quickly bought me some antibiotics.
I gulped it for 2 days and I stopped.
However, the dizziness, constipation and restless feeling was relentless. We made appointment to the doctor and he advised a Pregnancy test.
We smiled because we thought he was joking.
How can I be pregnant and still menstruate?
Since we took the antibiotics, we continue to feel the spotting and we assume it was my menstruation, becoming irregular.
Well, the doctor, was insistent, he advised that it could be implantation bleeding, we did the TEST and after 3 years and 8 months of trying, I AM PREGNANT.
I AM PREGNANT.
I AM PREGNANT.
I AM PREGNANT.
My husband and I cried out so loud and we just remain speechless for 2 hours.
I did the test at another hospital and it was confirmed I was PREGNANT.
I bought homemade test kit and I was confirmed PREGNANT.
For the 1st time, my husband gave me a treat, the most romantic treat I always dreamt of.
I informed my family and everybody was so happy for me.
My father invited all member of my family to a weekend treat and its was CELEBRATION AND JOYFUL GALORE.
I watched my father danced all the way, tears rolled out of my eyes as I gazed at him dancing and excited.
After 3 months of pregnancy, we bought teddies, started making arrangement for the baby and all that.
I was so careful.
My husband employed a nanny and treated me so special.
My husband never touched me or try to make love with me, just to rub my tommy, since doctor told him that, it improves blood flow to placenta.
One day, I woke up very lazy as usual, immediately, I managed to stepped out of the bed, I saw blood, very thick and reddish from my private part.
I was scared. I rushed to the hospital and after series of scan and test, I was told to check back in few days later but after, the announcement was that I had MISCARRIAGE.
What?
I passed out.
I was shell shocked and devastated.
In my wildest dream, I didn’t know that word MISCARRIAGE until I was mid-20s.
None of my family ever had miscarriage-my mom, aunties or my sisters.
Just 3 months ago, my dad threw a family party just because of me, I am so loved by my family.
My nickname is Anya(Eye)
The “eye” of the family.
Why would a decent young lady with good fertility history-both from my family and husband family refuses to get pregnant? Why?
I did all tests and all results confirmed “OK”.
“ANYA OOOO” I called my nickname
“ANYA OOOO’ I called it again.
Then I opened my eyes, I saw my father, mother, husband, my siblings, family members.
The tears rolled again!!!
What happened next?
Stay tuned to next Saturday as i unveil the final part of my journey.
Thanks for reading.
Anya's life had been a rollercoaster of emotions, marked by heart-wrenching lows and miraculous highs. The devastating moment that altered the course of her existence occurred when she experienced a miscarriage. The pain she endured was not only physical but also deeply emotional. It took a toll on her mental well-being, pushing her to the brink of despair.
After a few days of the miscarriage, Anya's emotional anguish overwhelmed her to the point of unconsciousness. She found herself confined to a hospital bed for two long weeks, the sterile walls echoing her silent grief. During this time, she grappled with the darkness within, attempting su***de twice. However, fate intervened when a vigilant nurse and her caring cousin thwarted her desperate actions.
Anya's devastation only deepened, leading her husband to make a difficult decision. Recognizing the gravity of her mental state, he arranged for her admission to a psychiatric hospital. For the next six months, Anya battled her inner demons, surrounded by therapists and the support of her family. Miraculously, the darkness that had shrouded her began to lift, and she emerged from the psychiatric hospital on the path to recovery.
After Anya returned home from the hospital, the air in the house seemed to lift as her family busied themselves with preparations for a small welcome party. Anya, the most cherished daughter of the family, had been through a challenging time emotionally after a heartbreaking miscarriage. Her father, unable to bear witness to her suffering, decided to turn the page and bring joy back into their lives.
The living room was adorned with colorful decorations, and the aroma of freshly cooked meals wafted through the air. Anya's father, a man of deep compassion and love for his daughter, had taken it upon himself to ensure that this evening would be a celebration of hope and healing.
As the evening unfolded, Anya's best friends arrived, bringing smiles and laughter with them. The atmosphere in the house transformed into one of warmth and camaraderie. Anya's husband, understanding the importance of this moment, held her close, and they swayed to the rhythm of the music, rediscovering the joy of being together.
Anya's father, a beacon of strength and support, couldn't help but join the festivities. He took his daughter's hand and led her to the center of the room. The guests gathered around, eager to witness a father-daughter moment that held the promise of healing.
With a tender smile, Anya's father looked into her eyes and said, "Anya, my daughter, promise me, you will be better again?" His words were not just a plea for her recovery but a declaration of faith in her resilience.
Anya, feeling the love and encouragement surrounding her, looked back at her father and replied with determination, "Yes, yes, Dad, I promise." Her voice resonated with a mix of gratitude and newfound strength.
The room erupted in applause and cheers, a chorus of support for Anya's journey toward healing. It was a moment of collective affirmation that, together, they would overcome the challenges that life had thrown at them. The welcome party, initially meant to mark Anya's return, transformed into a celebration of hope, love, and the unbreakable bond that held their family together.
Anya had endured a tumultuous period in her life, marked by the heart-wrenching experience of a miscarriage. The emotional strain had taken a toll on her, leading to a brief stint at a psychiatric hospital. However, as time passed, Anya managed to regain her footing and resumed her life.
In the aftermath of the hospital ordeal, Anya found solace in her work at a nearby engineering company, where she served as a dedicated Customer Care Agent. Her professionalism and commitment were commendable, and her colleagues respected her resilience and strength.
As Anya immersed herself in her professional life, her marriage underwent a remarkable transformation. The shared grief had brought her and her husband closer, and their relationship blossomed once again. They navigated through the storm hand in hand, finding comfort and support in each other.
One evening, after a particularly busy day at the office, Anya decided to take a leisurely walk back home. The air was crisp, and the streets were lined with the soft glow of streetlights. As she strolled through the quiet neighborhood, her mind began to wander back to the painful memories of the miscarriage and the challenges she had faced.
Lost in her thoughts, Anya failed to notice her surroundings. The weight of the past burdened her, clouding her vision and concentration. In an unfortunate twist of fate, she suddenly found herself in the path of a moving vehicle. Before she could react, the vehicle collided with her, and Anya crumpled to the ground, unconscious.
Passersby rushed to her aid, calling for emergency assistance. Within minutes, a good Samaritan, stoped over, and rushed Anya to the hospital once again with his car. This time, however, it was not for the same reasons as before. The accident had added a new layer of complexity to Anya's journey of recovery.
As Anya lay in the hospital bed, unconscious and vulnerable, the medical team worked tirelessly to assess the extent of her injuries. Her husband, notified of the accident, rushed to her side, grappling with a sense of déjà vu as he faced the fear of losing her once again.
Anya's husband, Alex, stood outside the hospital room, his mind swirling with confusion and fear. He couldn't shake the weight of the responsibility that now rested on his shoulders. Anya, his beloved wife, lay unconscious inside after a devastating hit and run accident.
It had only been a few months since they had all celebrated Anya's recovery from a previous illness. The joyous occasion seemed like a distant memory now, replaced by the harsh reality of the present moment. Alex felt a knot in his stomach, unsure of what to say to Anya's father, who had always been protective of his daughter.
Fumbling with his phone, Alex called his brother and cousin, seeking support and understanding. Within moments, they rushed to the hospital to stand by him in this trying time. The hospital corridor echoed with a sense of urgency and worry as they entered Anya's room.
Anya's unconscious form lay on the hospital bed, connected to various monitors that beeped in rhythmic patterns. The beeping seemed to synchronize with the anxious beats of Alex's heart. He could see the concern etched on the faces of his brother and cousin, reflecting his own emotions.
In a desperate attempt to share the news with Anya's family, they called her brother and informed him of the unfortunate accident. The somber conversation left them grappling with a sense of helplessness, a feeling that lingered in the air as they waited for the arrival of Anya's father.
An hour later, the hospital room became a battleground of emotions as Anya's dad and the rest of her family stormed in. Shock, grief, and anger painted their faces as they confronted Alex. Accusations flew like arrows, and the two families found themselves entangled in a heated exchange.
Anya's dad, unable to contain his sorrow, pointed accusing fingers at Alex, blaming him for the misfortune that had befallen his daughter. The hospital room transformed into a battlefield of words, with each side hurling accusations and grievances.
Amidst the chaos, Anya remained unconscious, caught in a realm between life and an uncertain fate. The hospital walls absorbed the echoes of familial discord, a stark contrast to the celebrations that had filled them just months before. In the midst of the turmoil, Alex stood, torn between the love for his wife and the accusations of being a bearer of misfortune.
Anya's father,, stood in the dimly lit hospital room, his face contorted with anger and grief. Anya lay unconscious on the hospital bed, connected to various machines that monitored her fragile condition. The sterile scent of the medical facility hung in the air as tension thickened with each passing moment.
The room was silent except for the distant hum of medical equipment. Anya's husband, Alex, stood nervously near the bed, his eyes filled with regret and fear. Anya's illness had taken a sudden turn for the worse, and emotions ran high as everyone struggled to make sense of the situation.
In a fit of despair, Anya Father lashed out. He couldn't fathom the idea that his beloved daughter might be slipping away, and in his anguish, he saw a scapegoat in Alex. Without warning, his hand connected with Alex's cheek in a resounding slap. The sound echoed through the room, and Alex recoiled, stunned by the sudden assault.
"You are the wizard sent to destroy my daughter!" Anya DAD voice shook with rage. "She is now about to die because of you!"
The accusatory words hung heavy in the air as Anya's husband, caught off guard, tried to comprehend the situation. Before he could react, Anya's younger brother, Obi, burst into the room. His eyes widened as he assessed the tense atmosphere.
Seeing his dad so troubled and sensing that Alex may attack his dad, Obi protective instincts kicked in. Without hesitation, he rushed towards Alex, fists clenched. The room erupted into chaos as a serious physical fight broke out, mirroring the emotional turmoil that had engulfed the family.
Amidst the scuffle, Anya remained unconscious, oblivious to the tumult surrounding her. The hospital staff, alerted by the commotion, quickly intervened to break up the brawl. Anya's father, breathing heavily, turned his attention back to Alex.
"This marriage is done," Anya DAD threatened, his eyes burning with intensity. "If my daughter wakes up, she will sue for divorce."
Alex, nursing a broken nose and bruised ego, was escorted out of the hospital room and led far away from the chaotic scene. The gravity of the situation weighed heavily on everyone present.
Amidst the hushed conversations in the hospital corridors, a storm was brewing within Anya's family. Tensions reached a breaking point when Alex, Anya's husband, was informed by the hospital staff that he and his family were no longer allowed to visit his ailing wife. Confused and desperate, Alex sought answers from Anya's father, who had taken charge of the situation.
Alex, upon learning of this decision, was overcome with a mix of fury and frustration. He couldn't fathom being kept away from his wife during her time of need. Determined to fight for the right to be by Anya's side, he confronted Anya's father in the hospital lobby.
"What gives you the right to keep me away from my own wife?" Alex demanded, his voice trembling with a mixture of anger and anguish.
Anya's father met his gaze, his expression unyielding. "You are a wizard send to torment my daughter, I regret handing her over to you as a husband, the marriage is done”
Alex retorted “ You have NO right to come in between me and my wife, she remains my wife and you have no moral right to bar me from seeing her”
Anya father “ I have every right to come in” You are a sore loser and a wicked man”
The situation became so tense and noisy.
The confrontation escalated as Alex's family attempted to intervene. Emotions ran high, and it seemed as though the hospital lobby might become the stage for a family feud. However, Anya's father had taken measures to ensure that security was on standby to prevent any escalation into violence.
The security escorted Alex and his family out of the hospital.
Alex found herself facing a daunting challenge. With a heavy heart, she decided to confide in her uncle, hoping for some guidance and support.
Her uncle, a wise and understanding man, listened attentively as Alex narrated the entire ordeal. He could see the pain and desperation in her eyes, and he knew that something needed to be done.
Realizing the gravity of the situation, Alex's uncle decided to take matters into his own hands. He made his way to Anya's father, a stern and stoic man who had been resistant to any interaction with Alex.
With a calm and composed demeanor, Alex's uncle approached Anya's father and began to explain the situation. "You know," he said, "Anya is not just your daughter. She is also Alex's wife, and by moral right, it is the husband who should be beside his wife, especially in times of trouble."
He continued, "We understand that you are not happy about the situation, and neither are we. We love Anya as much as you do. Please, sir, display fatherly love here. Let peace reign. Allow Alex to see his wife, who has been unconscious for weeks. It's troubling him, and she needs the support."
Anya's father, initially resistant, listened to the plea from Alex's uncle. He looked deep into the older man's eyes, contemplating the words that were spoken. "My daughter has been through so much," he said, his voice softening. "Just two months after coming back from the hospital, she was hit by a moving vehicle. For me, Alex, it feels like a stroke of bad luck."
Alex's uncle continued to reason with Anya's father, emphasizing that Alex had nothing to do with the hit-and-run incident. It was merely an unfortunate accident, and keeping Alex away would only add to the distress.
After a thoughtful pause, Anya's father sighed and nodded. "Alright," he conceded, "but under one condition. Alex can see Anya in the hospital, but only in the presence of one of my sons. I won't have any trouble, and I need to ensure the safety of my daughter."
Grateful for the concession, Alex's uncle agreed to the condition, knowing that it was a small price to pay for the chance to be by Anya's side during this challenging time..
Immediately upon entering the hospital, Alex's eyes welled up with tears as he laid eyes on his unconscious wife, Anya. It had been a week since he last saw her, as Anya's father had prohibited him from entering the hospital. The emotional distance had taken its toll on Alex, and the sight of his beloved lying motionless intensified his anguish.
With a heavy heart, Alex approached Anya's bedside and took her hand in his. Tears streamed down his face as he whispered words of love and longing. Just as he thought things couldn't get any worse, Anya coughed. The nurses, witnessing the unexpected turn of events, rushed to call the doctor.
Anya's younger brother, who had been keeping vigil by her side, was stunned. Hope flickered in the room as the doctor arrived and instructed everyone to leave. Anya was coming back to consciousness.
In those crucial moments, Alex had the privilege to witness the miracle. The doctor, turning to him, said, "Your wife has regained consciousness. You can go in and talk to her." Overwhelmed with relief, Alex entered the room where Anya lay.
As Anya's younger brother attempted to join, the doctor firmly stopped him. "This is part of the healing process. Only her lover should go in and talk to her. Please wait in the lobby."
Frustration and anger boiled within Anya's younger brother. He immediately called his father and other family members. Three hours later, they stormed into the hospital, anxious to see Anya's condition.
To their astonishment, they found Anya not only awake but laughing joyfully on her sickbed, with Alex by her side. The father, brothers, and sisters couldn't hold back their tears of relief and happiness. They brought Anya her favorite foods, surrounding her with love and conversation as she began to reconnect with her family.
All of them all were cracking jokes and laughing, nobody could muster the courage to tell Anya the show of shame they had exhibited In the last 2 weeks, they all pretended that everything was well.
Anya was discharged after some days she regained consciousness. Alex and Anya agreed that she would work from home for some time, she started teaching people how to bake and cook online, Alex bought a software that helped to garner customer all over the world, she was busy every day teaching this ones how to bake, how to cook continental dishes, the software brought many customer for her, the software- https://udimi.com/a/n33ih
Anya and Alex had weathered a storm that threatened to shatter the foundation of their marriage. The tumultuous weeks had been filled with heated arguments, misunderstandings between Anya dad and family with Alex and his famiy.
However, in the face of adversity, the two families decided to set aside their differences and work towards reconciliation.
Slowly but surely, the wounds began to heal. The fractures in their relationships were mended, and the bitterness that had taken root started to dissipate. It was a collective effort, fueled by a shared desire to see Anya and Alex's love endure.
Anya's usual routine was disrupted one sunny afternoon when her cousin, Lisa, paid her an unexpected visit. As soon as Lisa entered the room, she couldn't help but notice the subtle changes in Anya's appearance.
"Anya, you're positively glowing! What's your secret?" Lisa exclaimed, eyeing her cousin with curiosity.
Anya chuckled, "Oh, you know me, Lisa. I don't do makeup or anything fancy. Must be the good lighting in here."
Lisa raised an eyebrow, unconvinced. "No, seriously. There's something different about you. You're shining well well nowadays."
Anya smirked, "Well, if you say so. Maybe it's just a good week."
Undeterred, Lisa continued to scrutinize her cousin. "You sure there's nothing you're not telling me? You look different, like something's changed. Are you sure you're not hiding a secret?"
Anya sighed, realizing she couldn't keep her newfound happiness to herself any longer. "Okay, fine. My husband has been telling me the same thing for the past week."
Lisa's eyes widened with excitement. "Really? What's going on?"
Anya hesitated for a moment before confessing, "Well, I've missed my period for the past two weeks."
Lisa's jaw dropped. "Anya! Are you serious? Could you be pregnant?"
Anya waved her hand dismissively. "Oh, come on, Lisa. It's probably just stress or something. I'm not thinking about it too much."
Lisa, however, wasn't convinced. "You should take a pregnancy test just to be sure. It's better to know."
Anya rolled her eyes, "Honestly, Lisa, it's unnecessary. I'm sure it's nothing."
But the thought lingered in her mind, and three days later, when she found herself alone in the room, Anya couldn't shake the question that had been planted in her head.
"Am I pregnant?" she muttered to herself.
Unable to resist the curiosity any longer, Anya decided to put her doubts to rest. She headed to the nearest pharmacy, bought a pregnancy test, and nervously followed the instructions. As the results began to appear, her heart raced.
Two distinct lines.
Anya's eyes widened in shock and disbelief. She stared at the positive pregnancy test in her hands, a mix of emotions washing over her. Joy, excitement, and a hint of anxiety.
She wasted no time in calling her husband. "You need to come home right now," she said with a quiver in her voice.
He rushed back from work, and as he entered the room, Anya held up the test, her eyes glistening with tears of joy.
"We're going to be parents," she whispered, a radiant smile spreading across her face.
Anya's scan, just a few months after the joyous revelation, brought unexpected news—they were expecting twins. Despite their decision to keep the secret close to their chests, Anya found it impossible to withhold such joy from her beloved father. He had always been her mentor, and the bond they shared compelled her to share the news with him.
As the months passed, anticipation grew, and finally, after a full nine months, Anya gave birth to two beautiful twin girls. The celebration her father orchestrated was nothing short of stupendous, a testament to the overflowing joy within the family. The arrival of the twins marked a historic moment as they were the first grandchildren for Anya's dad.
However, amidst the euphoria, tragedy struck. Anya experienced a heartbreaking miscarriage, a first for the entire family. The emotional toll on Anya was immense, and the ordeal led her to be admitted to a psychiatric hospital for several months.
The somber atmosphere surrounding Anya's condition took a drastic turn when she fell victim to a hit-and-run accident. Unconscious for five weeks, Anya's life hung in the balance. During her hospitalization, the families, who had weathered numerous storms together, nearly tore themselves apart in distress.
Despite the hardships, the resilience of the two families prevailed. As Anya slowly recovered, a beacon of hope emerged—the twins, the first grandchildren of Anya's dad. The joyous occasion of their arrival rekindled the family's spirit, and the celebration that followed was nothing short of extraordinary, a testament to the strength that bound them together through thick and thin.
