I have read a lot of comments and feedback on the Empowerment Program facilitated by Hon. Tajudeen Abisodun Kareem on my page. The majority of people expressed dissatisfaction, criticizing the initiative as being more beneficial to politicians than to the constituents. Some are criticizing because they feel grinding machines are an overused form of empowerment that keeps repeating.

Firstly, I must commend the Honorable for his efforts. I still recall the statement he made shortly after his election as the representative of Old Ifedapo Constituency: “This is not my power, it’s the mercy from God Almighty. Tí Mí ò bá ṣe dáadáa, ajé pé mí ò l’órí lọ́wọ́.” Those words reflect humility and his commitment to service, so I am not surprised by the good deeds he continues to carry out.

Hon. Tajudeen Abisodun Kareem (Funfun Loogun) is surrounded by intelligent and experienced individuals such as Alhaji Thabit Olofa, Hon. Sh*ttu Maigida, Hon. OlaSalman, and others, who stand not only as loyalists but also as advisers.

As journalists, one of our primary responsibilities is to hold power accountable and serve as watchdogs for the people. An Honorable who has spent over 20 million Naira on empowerment surely has the capacity to listen to the voices of his constituents. This is the right time to encourage our politicians to engage in empowerment programs that truly address the current needs of the masses.

Therefore, let people stop criticism for its own sake and focus more on giving constructive advice. Our leaders need encouragement, guidance, and the people’s support—not words of bullying. If the people’s voices cannot reach them directly, we are here to serve as that voice—responsibly, positively, and for the common good.

Women Empowerment: Hon. Abisodun Distributes Grinding Machines Across Saki-West, Saki-East, and Atisbo

In a bid to support women and promote grassroots development, the lawmaker representing Saki-West, Saki-East, and Atisbo Federal Constituency, Hon. Tajudeen Kareem Abisodun, has facilitated the distribution of grinding machines to women across the constituency.

The initiative, according to the lawmaker, is part of his commitment to empowering women and strengthening small-scale businesses within the community.

“When you empower a woman, you empower a generation,” Hon. Abisodun said. “With gratitude to Almighty God and in service to my people, I facilitated the distribution of grinding machines to women across our constituency. This program is aimed at supporting our mothers, wives, and sisters to boost their businesses, reduce financial burdens, and promote self-reliance within our communities.”

He further noted that the empowerment scheme is just the beginning, as more programs are in the pipeline.
“This is only a step, and by God’s grace, more empowerment programs are on the way. Together, we will continue to build opportunities and strengthen our constituency,” he assured.

Hon. Abisodun expressed appreciation to party leaders, stakeholders, and members who attended and supported the empowerment program. “My sincere appreciation goes to our party leaders, stakeholders, and members who graced this empowerment program with their presence and support. Together, we are making a lasting impact in our constituency,” he added.

The gesture has been widely commended as a timely intervention to ease economic challenges facing women in Saki-West, Saki-East, and Atisbo, while also boosting local economic activities.
