There was a time when I earned only N10,000 as salary. Life was very hard. I worked as a housemaid, doing everything I could to survive. Things didn’t always make sense, but I kept going. I didn’t give up. Even when it felt like nothing was working, I still showed up every day. One day, someone saw me — a friend who noticed how hard I worked and told a movie producer about me.

That was how everything changed. I got a role in a film called The Maid. I played the role of a housemaid, which was easy because I had lived that life. I didn’t have to pretend. I acted from my heart, from the pain I knew. I was paid N100,000 for that one scene and I cried. I felt happy, I smiled, and I felt seen for the first time.

Now, when I look back, I always tell people — never stop believing in yourself. Even when life feels too hard, something good is coming. Just keep going. One day, your story will change too.
