Celebrating Impact! 🌟

We are proud to celebrate Muhammad Ibrahim @⁨EL-MUHAMMAD S IBRAHIM O, one of our outstanding members at Health4Change Initiative, who, together with his team, has successfully secured a grant to implement a social impact project in Sokoto.

🎉 Congratulations to Our Trailblazers! 🚀

We’re proud to celebrate two of our own — Abdullateef Abdullahi (As_Saoty) @⁨As Saoty MLS Udus⁩ and Rosemary Joseph @⁨Rosemary 😍 MBBS Udus⁩ — on their selection as UNICEF Young Leaders for the HPV Vaccine and Adolescent Education Program!

Last week, they were at national workshop held at the UN House, Abuja, joining changemakers from across Nigeria to spark strategies for better vaccine access and youth education.

As they take on their project in Sokoto, we’re cheering them on in their mission to drive awareness, advocacy, and action.
Health4Change is proud and ready to walk this path with them.

WORLD HYPERTENSION DAY

(Timothy Oguntoye-08107715347)

To the Youth: Don’t Be Silent About a Silent Killer
(Hypertension is not a respecter of age.)

Many think hypertension (high blood pressure) is only for the old.
But today, more young people are dying suddenly—often due to undiagnosed or ignored hypertension.

It doesn’t always show signs, but it silently damages the heart, brain, and kidneys.

Know this:

1. Hypertension can affect ANYONE, even in their 20s or 30s
2. Stress, poor diet, lack of sleep, too much salt or energy drinks can increase your risk
3. Most people don’t feel sick until it’s too late

What You Can Do:

1. Check your BP regularly
2. Eat healthy, reduce salt
3. Stay active (exercise)
4. Sleep well
5. Manage stress and stop smoking
6. Avoid excess salt, alcohol & drugs

This World Hypertension Day, check yourself, protect your heart.

Be aware. Be responsible. Stay alive.

Salt and Your Health – What You Need to Know

(SALT IS NOT REALLY THE ENEMY, EXCESSIVE INTAKE IS)

Health4Change Initiative (UDUTH, Sokoto) ❤️ advises all Nigerians:

📌 Salt contains sodium, an essential mineral that supports vital body functions such as nerve activity, muscle movement, and fluid balance

📌Salt is not bad, but too much is dangerous.

📌Use no more than 1 teaspoon (5g) of salt per day.

📌Too much salt causes high blood pressure, stroke, and kidney disease.

📌Most Nigerians eat twice the safe amount most especially from processed foods.

📌Doctors give science-based advice—please listen to them.

📌Salt in medicine is not the same as table salt and is safe when prescribed.
