I was sitting with Dolapo at the makeup place while getting her makeup done for her Birthday shoot and she asked me in a very funny way, what was the point of all of it. I found the question funny because really why do we do the things we do, down to photoshoots for our birthdays. And Even though, I truly believe this question never gets old, the reasons will always be the same to me.
I went into photography beyond taking pictures or selling them. I admire the service of it, the pampering, the experience and the joy it brings when the pictures are finally ready. I love making people look beautiful on their special days. Simply put, I’m grateful I have a job that puts the individual first, the celebratory aspect of it, even more so, the opportunity to share my creative talents with others.
In the end, it’s your special day and I always encourage everyone to celebrate it doing the things they believe will make them happy- without having to question it ❤️
