We Know We’ve Said This Before… But It Must Be Said Again💙

We keep seeing the same pattern:
A child has a seizure… and before coming to the clinic, parents try onions, crude oil, urine, pepper, and many other home remedies.

We understand the fear. We understand the panic.
But these methods do not stop seizures, they only add more problems like infection, choking, burns, or delay in getting proper care.

So yes, we are saying it again, loudly and clearly:

💡 Most seizures stop on their own within 1–3 minutes.
💡 No home remedy stops a seizure.
💡 The safest first aid is simple:
• Turn the child onto their side
• Protect the head
• Clear the area
• Stay calm and watch the time

We will keep emphasizing this because every child’s safety matters, and every parent deserves the correct information.

Please help us spread this reminder. It saves lives. 💙

A Story Every Parent Should Read 👶💙”

Many parents rush to do something when their child has a seizure. We’ve seen it: putting a spoon in the mouth, rubbing onions, applying crude oil, or even using urine, all before coming to the clinic. 😢

A mother has done exactly that because she thought it would help her 5 year old. By the time she arrived at the clinic, the child was shaken and had a small injury in the mouth from a spoon.
A few cases have gone blind due to these "remedies."

We want all parents to know:

💡 Most seizures stop on their own within 1–3 minutes.
💡 Forcing anything into the mouth or using home remedies can cause serious harm.
💡 What you should do instead:

Gently turn the child onto their side

Protect their head with something soft

Stay calm and watch the time

Seek medical care after the seizure

Seizures can be scary, but panic actions make them worse, not better. Educating ourselves can prevent injuries and even save lives.

Parents, let’s stop the myths in our homes. Knowledge is the first step to keeping our children safe. 💙

Meet Dr Sam, our friendly teaching character! 💙

Today, he breaks it down simply:

Epilepsy is when a person has repeated, unprovoked seizures, not just one. It should be two or more.

It can affect children and adults.

Common causes include:
👉 Brain injury
👉 Problems during birth
👉 Serious infections (e.g., meningitis)
👉 Abnormal brain development
👉 Genetic factors
👉 Metabolic disorders
👉 Sometimes, no clear cause is found

The good news?
With proper evaluation and treatment, many people with epilepsy can live full, healthy, and active lives.

💬 Which of these causes were new to you?

If you ever have concerns about seizures or epilepsy, you’re welcome to reach out.

Meet Dr Ada — our friendly educational character here to break down child health in simple terms. 💙

Today she says: “Not every seizure is epilepsy.”

Many things — like fever, infections, low sugar, dehydration or even head injury — can cause a one-time seizure in children.

THE HIDDEN DAMAGE OF EXCESSIVE SCREENTIME ON YOUR CHILD'S BRAIN ‼️‼️

That bedtime screen time might look harmless — but it’s secretly keeping your child’s brain wide awake! 📱💡
Blue light from devices blocks the “sleep hormone,” tricking the brain into thinking it’s still daytime. 🌙

The result? Less sleep, tired mornings, cranky moods, and poor focus in school. 🧠💤
Turn off screens at least an hour before bedtime — because a rested brain is a smarter, happier one!

Poor Sleep = Tired Brain
