Sometimes, the best conversations happen between you and your own thoughts.
Yesterday, I was just sitting quietly without music, no distractions of any kind, not even my phone, just me, my thoughts and a bit of silence. I started thinking about myself, about everything I have been through, the challenges I have faced and the things I once thought I would never overcome but somehow, I did.
And then I thought about the challenges ahead. I mean the ones I can already see coming in the next few months. I know they are coming and this time, instead of worrying and overthinking, I have decided to prepare myself differently. I have started working on my mindset now and I am learning to give myself time, I understand that everything in life has its season but as humans we worry too much which is expected. When that season comes, it will eventually pass. Nothing lasts forever, not even the hardest moments.
I am intentionally working on my mental health by feeding my mind with peace and constantly reminding myself that I have made it through tougher times before and I can do it again and again. So long as you are alive you still have hope. And as long as there is hope, there is always a way forward.
I am sharing this because I know I am not the only one who feels this way. We all face challenges. Some are visible, some are silent, but they all test us in different ways. Please, take time to prepare your mind too.
Work on your mental strength. Learn to rest and also practice how to speak kindly to yourself. Most importantly, remind yourself that no matter what comes your way, you have what it takes to handle it.
Stay mentally fit and be hopeful. Remain patient, give yourself time and forever walk with God. No matter how tough the season is, it will eventually turn into something new.
