This is heartbrĀ£aking š
Imagine struggling through school, becoming a pharmacist, opening your own business to help your community only for your life to be cut short barely one week later
On Tuesday, May 19, 2O26, tragedy struck at the newly opened Nomuzi Pharmacy in KwaNyuswa near Hillcrest, South Africa
According to reports, Pharmacist Nomzila Madinane, her female cashier and a security guard were all ki||ed after three armed men stormed the pharmacy in broad daylight and opened f!re
The security guard reportedly tried to intervene during the att@ck but was also sh0t He later d!ed at the hospital
What makes the story even more pa!nful is this
Nomzila Madinane had reportedly opened the pharmacy just a week earlier with the goal of helping people in her community access healthcare and medicine more easily, especially residents who normally travelled long distances for treatment
Just one week
One thing I keep saying is this
Sometimes when people say āstart your dream,ā they forget that some people are genuinely trying
They are not looking for trouble
They are simply trying to build something meaningful for themselves and for society
But insecurity continues to destroy dreams, businesses and innocent lives across different parts of Africa
Now imagine the excitement she probably felt opening her own pharmacy after years of studying and sacrifice
Imagine the plans
the hope
the vision
Only for everything to suddenly end like this
Honestly, life can be pa!nfully unpredictable
KwaZulu-Natal police spokesperson Robert Netshiunda confirmed that three counts of mvrder have been opened as investigations continue
