On the 29th day of August 2025, people in hundreds gathered at Palmer Memorial Hospital, Ikot Usen to witness the commissioning and official opening of the new nurses' quarter built by the International Health Care Foundation (IHCF).
The event which had in attendant, the Executive Director of IHCF, Sir Kevin Linderman from USA accompanied by Mr. Emmanuel Ezofor from Ghana,Sir Bassey Bassey Okon who was the chairman of the occasion, the hospital administrator, Madam Eno Umoh, Prince Godwin Okon, IWADU International president who also stood in for Barr. Ime Okon, the Federal House member, representing Itu/Ibiono Ibom Federal Constituency at Abuja in Nigeria.
Other dignitaries in attendant were, Dr, Uwemedimo Ekanem, Prof. E. S. Udo, Ministers of the gospel, Traditional Leaders led by Chief Essien Ituen Umoh of Ibiaku Ikot Usen, women, staff, trainees ,the patients of our facility and the general public.
As a Welcome massage, the administrator Madam Eno Umoh expresses gratitude to the Almighty God for sparing our lives to witness the occasion. She appreciated all the visitors for honouring the invite and finding time to attend the event, as well as the staff and trainees for their dedications, coordination and unity in the facility,she further showed euphoria, by commending IHCF for their support to works in the hospital as well as those who usually patronize the hospital (patients) amongst other hospitals around.
Further more,the Executive Director IHCF, Sir Kevin, thanked the hospital administrator for effective work well-done in the hospital and pledge to support more as he can.
Goodwill messages rained from guests who were present as they all applauded the hospital's management team for the synergy in making sure the facility moves forward.
The event also featured songs of praises, prayers, exhortation, gift of portrait to executive director IHCF, cultural display and refreshment. All to the glory of God.
