DID YOU KNOW that if hair grows on your ears, it’s because your body is experiencing increased activity of male hormones called androgens—especially testosterone and its more potent form, dihydrotestosterone (DHT)?

These hormones stimulate tiny, dormant hair follicles in areas like the ears, nose, and eyebrows, causing them to produce thicker and more visible hair as you age.

This is more common in men, particularly after midlife, because androgen levels interact with genetic factors over time.

The good news is that, ear hair growth is a harmless, natural effect of hormones and genetics, becoming more common in men as they age.
