Healthy, growing and thriving parents of boys are important for raising great, strong and successful sons. That's why the Parents of Boys Hangout exist - to enable parents to learn, connect, grow and become who they need to become for their dreams and that of their boys to become alive.

The virtual edition of the hangout holds tomorrow on our designated Telegram Channel and it promises to be a great time spent.

"Our dreams regulate our actions." That's one of the many great lessons culled from today's learning session at the BQCC as we continue our Leadership Aptitude Development class.

We had a guest facilitator, Mr. Akpobari Gbenegbara and he taught on "Why We All Need A Dream." It was interactive, inspirational and impactful and the boys left the class equipped with the clarity and conviction they needed to keep putting in the required work in the pursuit of their dreams. We are grateful to Mr. Gbenegbara for the investment of his time and wisdom with us today.

It was another day to deepen the impact of the work we do, bolstered on responsibility and service. We will continue to provide the space and means for boys to learn to lead and be all God has called them to be.

Hurrah!

We are excited to kickstart our community engagement series with our first Parents of Boys Hangout.

It shall be a time of heart-warming, honest and empowering conversation. We shall learn, pray for our sons and build a community of purpose enabling individuals.

Date is Tuesday 4th November 2025.

Time is 5:00pm prompt.

Venue is the Sunny Springs Event Arena, Azikoro Road, Ekeki, Yenagoa.

It was PAL Time at the Boys Quarters Community Centre today. PAL Time which stands for Play And Learn Time is our distinct learning activity that lace games and fun activities with teaching activities to bring to enable us drive home vital lessons in teamwork and collaboration, good relationship skills critical thinking and decision making skills, strategy empathy and sportsmanship - all vital skills needed to grow and lead wherever one is planted.

It was beautiful seeing the boys draw out lessons from the games sessions that they will take home and apply.

We are proud of the work we're doing at the centre and the lives we're shaping for the future.

Today we continued our Leadership Aptitude Development class at our centre. The lesson was on Growing Intentionally. Key takeaways were:

- Our dreams and goals in life will not come to pass by chance.

- A beautiful and well maintained garden is not the work of chance but of purpose, structure and discipline.

- In growing intentionally we must master how to use time well, especially free time.

The boys were later broken into three groups to brainstorm, generate ideas and propose a fun, learning activity to be carried out this flood break. Each group presentation spoke of creativity and team work.

We are proud of each of them and the work we're building at the Centre - one boy per time.
