Can Berberine Help with Uterine Fibroids? 🌿

A study published in Fertility and Sterility investigated the effects of berberine (BBR), a plant derived compound, on uterine fibroid cells.

🔹 It blocked estradiol and progesterone induced proliferation of fibroid cells

Importantly, berberine did not inhibit the growth of normal uterine smooth muscle cells, even at higher concentrations.

🌿 A Natural Support for Endometriosis? What Research Shows About NAC

N-acetylcysteine (NAC) is a potent antioxidant and anti-inflammatory compound that boosts glutathione, the body’s main defense against oxidative stress and chronic inflammation. Scientists have been exploring its potential benefits for women living with ovarian endometriosis, a condition that often causes severe pain and fertility challenges.

A clinical study involving 120 women tested NAC at a dose of 600 mg, three times daily, for three consecutive days each week over three months. The results were encouraging. The researchers found that those with ADHD showed a higher risk of provisional PMDD, and that co-occurring depression or anxiety may further influence this link.
