“I consider service to be a way to contribute to a greater cause outside of one’s own experience. It’s so easy to get caught up in your personal issues and to forget about the bigger picture. I see GB as a way to contribute service on a personal level and to develop my sense of empathy for others.” -Peter CMU GPHB 2020

"Our mission is to educate people from underserved communities about public health awareness and construct sustainable bathrooms, kitchen floors, and water pipes with hopes of improving health and quality of life for the local residents. I believe everyone in the U.S. must hear about the valuable stories of people in the communities we visit to understand the impact our projects have on the locals' lives and ultimately consider contributing to the brigades. We must advocate for the health of people from all communities and breakdown any inequities in public health standards around the world." -Max Rerkpattanapipat CMU GPHP President 2018/19.
