Ready to understand your wiring?

If you recognize yourself in any of these, your nervous system is looking for proof it's safe.
Your attachment style is your nervous system's blueprint for connection. It was hardwired when you were young — how your caregivers showed up (or didn't) is still running the show in your adult relationships.

Does this sound like you?
Anxious attachment = You worry they'll leave. Constant texts, needing reassurance, panicking when they're busy. Your nervous system learned: "I have to prove I'm worthy of love."

Avoidant attachment = Intimacy feels suffocating. You pull away when things get close. Independence above all. Your nervous system learned: "I can't rely on anyone, I'll handle it alone."

Secure attachment = You feel safe asking for what you need AND giving your partner space. You can regulate yourself. This doesn't mean perfect — it means you can reconnect after rupture.

Disorganized = Sometimes you cling, sometimes you flee. Hot and cold. No pattern. Often from unsafe early relationships where you learned: "People are unpredictable."
Here's what changes everything: your attachment style isn't your fault, but becoming aware of it is your responsibility.

The nervous system has memory. And patterns can shift — but only when you feel safe enough to try something different.

Practice this in your next difficult moment. Everything changes.

Here’s the difference: communicate when you’re coming back.
Minimum 5 minutes, maximum 24 hours.
Help each other stay safe.

And during the timeout: don’t stay stuck in the argument.
Regulate your nervous system instead.
Breathe. Walk. Move your body. Shift your focus.
If you keep replaying the conflict in your brain, the timeout won’t help.
