Round two in Portugal!! apparently, we just can’t stay away from pastel de nata and great students! 🇵🇹😄

I had a wonderful long weekend in Portugal, where I taught Master Tung Foundation course and Shaun led the Advanced class.

Huge thanks to for organizing this event for the second time in Lisbon. your dedication and hospitality made it all possible once again.

The upper arm region in Master Tung’s acupuncture, and especially the shoulder area, is one that I use extensively in the clinic for a wide range of conditions.

This is a yang region in principle, with strong moving capacity, but due to its proximity to the trunk it also takes on a yin-within-yang quality. Therefore, it is particularly useful for treating chronic conditions with excess.

The shoulder can serve us in different ways for both musculoskeletal pain and internal medicine.

For pain conditions, I often use the shoulder to treat the hip joint, lower back and ankle, but it is also excellent for addressing many type of knee problems.

Moreover, due to its' moving qi and blood ability the shoulder can be used in Sciatica and peripheral neuropathy

In internal medicine, I use the shoulder to influence the lower abdominal and groin region. Therefore, shoulder points are excellent for treating gynecological and urological disorders.

After the great feedback we received from 28 participants from all over the world, we decided to run The Master Tung case study class again! 💙 June 23rd Monday, 7pm AMS time 💙

The online class includes a few cases from the clinic that both myself and Shaun Goodman will present and also Q&A discussion will take place.

The class is organized in collaboration with International colleague of Oriental Medicine (ICOM) in England and The Professional Association of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine (APAMTC) in Portugal. Recording will be available for 2 weeks
