Ever felt like you’re rushing through meals on autopilot?

What if eating became a ritual of presence, connection, and gratitude? No rules. No restrictions. Just you, your food, and the moment.

Mindful eating is a game changer. And to practice it you can start with something as simple as a walnut, a date, or a single raisin. Here’s how:
—> Set the vibe, create a space you love
—> Wake up your senses, touch, smell, notice before you even take a bite
—> Slow down, taste every flavor, feel every texture, be with your food

Breathe, savor, connect, because this is more than eating. It’s an experience.

I just want to take a moment to say THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart. For all the love, the support, and the little moments of connection we’ve shared this past year. You’ve made this space feel so special, like a cozy little corner of the internet.

Thank you for keeping it real, for sharing your wisdom, your personal tips, and just showing up as your authentic self. Whether you’ve dropped a comment, sent a DM, or simply been here, you’ve helped create a space where we can all grow, learn, and live a little slower.

Over the past year, I’ve been reflecting on what truly matters. That’s why I shifted my focus: less time random on social media😉, and more energy poured into creating value and then showing up on the socials. From launching the bi-weekly blog to curating a newsletter with deeper insights on slow and holistic living, these are spaces made with YOU in mind.

And now, I’m so excited to start the year together with .frontstory for a Vision Board Night on January 14th at the Safe Space Club. It’s going to be a cozy, creative evening to dream big by visualisation and set intentions for 2025. You are welcome to join us, see link for more info.👆🏿

Here’s to a year of more joy, more peace, and more of what truly fills us up. Let’s do it perfectly imperfect, together.

For many, the holidays are full of joy and gatherings. But let’s be honest, that’s not how it feels for everyone, and that’s okay. This time of year can bring up so much: family tensions, loneliness, or missing someone who isn’t there anymore.

It can get even harder when toxic family members are part of the picture, dealing with constant microaggressions or worse. It’s no wonder the holidays can feel more stressful than joyful sometimes.

If this sounds familiar, take a breath. There are ways to get through this season, one small and gentle step at a time. 🧡

Remember, it’s okay to break tradition if it doesn’t serve you anymore. If you’re feeling lonely, don’t hesitate to reach out, many people are more welcoming than we think. The holidays don’t have to look or feel like anyone else’s. Take it at your own pace.

The holidays are here, and so is the gift-giving frenzy. But what if we did things differently this year? Let’s slow down and make gifting meaningful, mindful, and stress-free.

Here are 3 ways to embrace slow gifting:

✨1 Give experiences, not just things.
A cozy dinner, movie tickets, or even a lunch date, these gifts create memories that last far longer than anything wrapped in paper. Bonus? You get to spend time together, too.

✨2 Shop throughout the year.
Keep an eye out for gifts when you aren’t in a rush. Spot something perfect in May? Grab it! By the time the holidays roll around, you’ll already have thoughtful presents, and zero stress.

✨3 Choose quality over quantity.
Forget the clutter. A single meaningful gift, like a book they’ll love or a handcrafted candle, trumps a pile of random trinkets.

You know how summer just pulls you outside? It’s so easy to soak up the sun and feel connected to nature. Winter, though, brings a different rhythm, slower, cozier, a time to recharge indoors. But it’s still so important to step outside regularly, even now. Too much time indoors, especially with heating, isn’t great for the body or mind.

Fresh air clears the head, and even on cloudy days, being outside helps the body produce a little vitamin D. This is especially important for POC, and extra vitamin D supplement’s are often needed in the darker months. Even a short walk can brighten the mood and bring a surprising boost of energy. Then quickly get back in side for a cup of tea :)

What’s your go to spot for a winter walk? Share your tips.

Weekend’s calling, ready to pick up? 📞

Let this be your reminder to slow it waaay down and just be for a bit. It’s so easy to get caught up in all the things we “should” do in the weekends, but honestly, the good stuff is usually in the moments where we’re doing nothing at all. Give yourself permission to enjoy the little things this weekend, no big plans needed. The whole weekend sound like a challenge? Then make it a day or an afternoon.

Life’s better when we keep it simple.

Adjuma Tribe is the slow living community for people with urban lifestyles

A personal conscious perspective on mind & soul, food, fashion and lifestyle. A heartful urban, slow living journey. To inspire, motivate and support you on yours. Because it’s a struggle. Keeping on top of things while also making conscious choices for people and planet. Well, Adjuma Tribe got your back. No pedantic fingers here. Slow living can’t be done fast. It’s a journey.

For the Adjuma’s who acknowledge that people’s lives get destroyed in the process of making lots of the products we own (and not even really need!). Who therefore seek slow fashion, fair products and might even consider going all minimalist.

For the Ajduma’s who want to stop eating meat, go vegan maybe, but still love those summer barbecues. Who wish for more trees to ensure clean air but can’t part from the old diesel camper van. Who love the idea of getting groceries at the local market but going to the supermarket creates me-time.

This is for all the Adjuma’s who just want to do good for the people and our planet. Without losing sight of what is fun, beautiful, smart and attainable. It’s a struggle, but worth it. Life is about balance, anyway. Feel good and positive about your conscious choices. Slow living can’t be done fast, but it isn’t dull at all. We are Adjuma’s, hello!
