New episode of She Thrives on the topic of parenting.
Regardless if you are already a mom of 3 or only planning to conceive. As soon as you are aspiring to become a parent - the work begins.

And I feel that this episode just has to be released now, while I am at home, in Belarus, spending time with my mom.

As I am drinking tea with her, flipping through old photos and asking her questions about her life, I am reminded how interconnected everything is. Parts of my personality have been largely defined by my parents and their upbringing. Their childhood (family dynamics, and overall cultural, societal context) influenced their lives which then influenced my own childhood. A lot of influence was intentional. And a lot of it was unintentional.

As I listen to my mom, I also hold my own daughter. A lot of her future is being written already now. In fact even earlier. When I was only trying to conceive.

What does it have to do with women’s health? Because a lot of this is linked with mental health of a woman, who will become a mother. Again – everything is connected. Nothing is separate. I hope you ll enjoy this conversation and check what Maria is up to when she is on a mission to redefine the way many of us approach parenting.

Meaningful conversation on women’s health with Ida Tin — a visionary who is helping reshape how we think and talk about women’s health.

Together, we go beyond the world of tech and dive into what it truly means to live in a woman’s body, the journey of motherhood, the evolving role of men, and how all of this connects to the future of our planet.

It’s honest, thoughtful, and full of insight.

It’s been a while since a post came out 🫣

A few weeks ago I shared some of the trends in female health that I learned at a Femtech conference.

It’s interesting to see that the big theme is Empowerment. Women are having more agency when it comes to their health and wellbeing. More products appear to meet this demands - from wearable devices to home testing kits to AI agents.

When I say that “something is cooking” I usually (well, lately) mean that I am “still pregnant”.
But this time , it’s different.

As I am working with many women in various stages of their life (postpartum, perimenopause or while they are trying for pregnancy) I have noticed two things:

1)women do want to and are ready to be wiser about their long term health. They do want to approach their health in a more holistic way – using movement & exercise, nutrition, meditation, supplementation, regular check ups, sleep, breathwork and more – to create conditions for a more wise and informed care.

2) But.. at the same time they all say one thing - that it is almost impossible (or takes too much time) to navigate the often misleading wellness trends. The internet is flooded with information.

I have been one of those women, struggling with PCOS and not really knowing where to begin to take more responsibility for my longer term health. Most of the things I was doing were ignorant and intuitive.

I have decided to launch a podcast that would become a go-to place for women who want to take first step in taking more ownership in their health, who want to start making more informed decisions rooted in both knowledge and understanding their body.

This podcast would feature guest speakers on variety of topics (from exercise and nutrition to emotional health and even spirituality) – taking a fully holistic approach.

As we embark on the journey of trying to get pregnant —> pregnancy ==> postpartum recovery, we naturally pay a lot of attention to how to manage the ‘hardware’ –our bodies..

We want our bodies to be healthy, glowing even. We are more likely to adopt healthy habits around food, we stop drinking, we start exercising and putting sleep first.

But it has become very clear in scientific literature that health and well-being is more than just taking care of our bodies. We have to take care of the ‘soft ware’ – the mind. Emotional, Mental and Spiritual balance are so important, and often – are defining.

It is somewhat easier to prioritise ‘Hardware’ because it is more familiar. It is tangible.

It is intimidating on the other hand, and uncomfortable, to do the work around our mindset, cultivating such qualities of mind like confidence, calmness, creativity, clarity, curiosity, courage, compassion, and connectedness. I call them “macronutrients” of mental, emotional, spiritual health.

The more I work and study holistic approach to health, in pregnancy and recovery – the more I see that the biggest value and the most incredible results do come when both Body & mind are taken care of.

Where do we begin? How do we track progress? What does it take to see the results?

It starts with curiosity and motivation to do the work.

What do you prioritize?
