Paul Klemick, a descendant of the early Polish settlers to Otago, recollects his journey of discovery of his Polish ancestry.
You will find out what drove him to document his own family history and later of hundred other Polish immigrants who sailed to NZ, in hope of a better and safer future for their families.
This is a newspaper article which reports on the 150th anniversary gathering held at Jackson Bay, earlier in the year.

Did you know that movie director Magnus Van Horn, was born in Gothenburg, Sweden, but is living and working in Poland for over 20 years ? Von Horn wants to stay in Poland. He lives with his wife and daughter in the Powiśle neighborhood in Warsaw.🇵🇱🌍👏

The film was also partially shot in Poland, with scenes filmed in Łódź, Zgierz, and Lower Silesia, including Wrocław and Bystrzyca Kłodzka.

Polish astronaut will take pierogi into space 🥟🥟🥟 !

Polski astronauta Sławosz Uznański-Wiśniewski poleci w tym roku na Międzynarodową Stację Kosmiczną i zabierze ze sobą w kosmos pierogi. Kiedy Pan Sławosz zaczynał pracę w Axiom Space, dowiedział się, że może uczestniczyć w projekcie przygotowania pożywienia, które astronauci zabiorą ze sobą na ISS. "Zacząłem współpracę z małą polską rodzinną firmą. Dziś mogę powiedzieć, że po raz pierwszy zabierzemy w kosmos polskie pierogi”.
