Dhammakaya Buddhist Meditation Retreat
🧘♀️ Silence. Stillness. Presence.
I recently spent several days at a Buddhist meditation retreat, both as a yoga teacher and participant medtator, fully embracing silence. No words, no distractions—just breath, presence, and inner stillness.
My experience: Even without speaking personally to everyone, I felt a profound connection to the people around me. Baring in mind the fleeting, fragile nature of life—so impermanent, so brief, like the blink of an eye—made me feel deeply humbled and reminded me of our shared vulnerability as human beings, that reminded me of our deep connection and intertwined nature as humans.
Yoga prepared my body to sit, meditation stilled my mind, and silence revealed the ever present, ever pervasive awareness, that always been there and will ever be- the true nature of the self- vast , everlasting and omnipresent .
