New paper shows that two-thirds of clinical trial participants treated with psilo cybin-assisted therapy for major depressive disorder were in complete remission from their depression five years later, a new study has found.

The study involved participants from a clinical trial published in 2021 that found psilo cybin combined with psychotherapy in adults was effective at treating major depressive disorder.

An average of five years after the clinical trial, a majority of participants reported lasting depression remission as well as improvement in a range of well-being measures.

Deep gratitude to all the courageous humans who attended our Lughnasagh retreat in the Netherlands. As we approach our 7th anniversary of doing this work, the more of these spaces we have held, the deeper our sense of humility and awe.

It is sacred work. We never have words for how deep our clients go, what we witness, what is released, transmuted and transformed.

To a full house in the Sugar club in Dublin, our co-founder Darragh gave a powerful talk on the impact of psy. substances on the mind and the Mystery behind them.

He explored the latest science and clinical trials showing how these medicines are now being used to treat mental health conditions like depression, PTSD, and anxiety.

He also touched on their rich traditional use and cultural roots—reminding us that these are not just “new” medicines, but ancient tools for healing and transformation.

For many, these sacred substances serve as a gateway to explore consciousness, often unlocking mystical, spiritual, and deeply transformational insights.

On our psilo cybin retreats, we very often witness the group therapy aspects deepening their therapeutic processes of our clients. Although for some people, individual therapy may be more appropriate.
