One of the proudest, best moments of my life—our beautiful home birth. ✨

It all started when my midwife came to check on me, and I was only 4cm dilated. Active labor hadn’t started, so she left, thinking we still had time. But just minutes later, everything changed. Out of nowhere, intense contractions hit—immediately 2 minutes apart. My mom helped me up from the birthing ball, and after just 4 or 5 contractions, I said, “He is coming!”

My mom and Heinrich were right there to catch our baby. It all happened so fast, so raw, and so beautifully. A life-changing moment I will forever cherish.

Through it all, a strong mindset is crucial. Birth isn’t something to fear—it’s something to trust, embrace, and experience fully. Mama, you are capable of more than you know! 💛✨

What a crazy 24 hours post home birth! ✨ The whirlwind of recovery, emotions, and adjusting to postpartum life hit fast—but one thing that kept me going was fueling my body with the right nutrients for healing and recovery.

Eating well is so important to me, and I made sure to nourish myself with:

🍣 Delicious sushi for protein and healthy fats
🍜 Phad Thai noodles for comforting energy
🍓 Endless fruit & full-fat yoghurt bowls for gut health and sustained energy
🥣 High-fiber porridge with nuts & seeds for digestion and essential nutrients
🥛 My mom’s homemade traditional South African melkkos—pure comfort!

Every meal has been about replenishing, healing, and fueling my body for this precious postpartum journey. Grateful for good food and the magic of recovery! 🥝🍓🥑🍠🍳🧀

October has been such a special month that flew by in a flash! My sister visited, and we explored Paris, Brussels, and Cologne together—making unforgettable memories. Work-life balance is a challenge for full-time moms, and since becoming a mom of two, I’ve realized how tough it can be to juggle everything. Finding balance in all aspects of life—career, family, health, finances, and self-development—is so important, but not always easy.

✨ Here are a few tips for fellow moms:

Prioritize: Focus on what matters most each day. Some days your career will take the lead, and other days it’ll be your family.

Delegate: Don’t be afraid to ask for help. Whether it’s from your partner, family, or a support network, sharing the load helps.
