Thai Yoga Massage The Hague Thai yoga massage is a journey into your body. ⁕ THAI YOGA MASSAGE ⁕
It's not a 'massage' as we know it in the West. I had no idea what it should be.

Massage tables are not being used, there is no rubbing on the skin or kneading the muscles and the receiver stays fully dressed. That's why I often refer to it as a 'bodywork session'. TYM is a balanced blend of physical, energetic and spiritual healing techniques and concepts. It is a skilful combination of applying both broad and targeted acupressure, finding and dissolving blockages, stimulating energy lines, opening and toning the body with yoga-like stretches and encouraging the receiver to engage in a process of self healing, deep relaxation and renewal. I'm practicing in a meditative state, using my sensitivity to tap into your needs. Please keep in mind that I'm not here to fix you, neither to heal you. I'm here to hold space for you and support you on your own healing yourney🕉💙

⁕ ABOUT KAJA ⁕
After being a yoga teacher for couple of years, I felt a desire to learn something new, something that I could combine with yoga. Once I was checking a website of a yoga school offering a training in 'thai yoga massage'. I didn't really know what it was, but it caught my attention! After reading about it, I realized that this type of bodywork includes all the 'things' that I'm passionate about: mindful touch, movement/dance, yoga, meditation, buddhist teachings and silence. I signed up for the training, knowing that this is the direction that I need to move towards. It felt like coming home. 💖
That is how this incredible journey of diving into the waters of bodywork has started off for me! You are very welcome to be part of it!!!

‘ It was truly an amazing experience! I felt so calm, peaceful and safe! Afterwards I was completely recharged. ‘ testimonial from one of the participants of the November session.
As we are hosting this event once more this year, you can also experience it by yourself and see how it can support you in feeling more calm, regulated, centered, grounded and rejuvenated.
The December edition will be the most relaxing of all. As for many this last month of the year seems to bring a lot of stress, maybe deadlines, preparations for events, festivities, this is a great opportunity to gift yourself a reset in the midst of this busy times. Afterwards you can handle all that needs to be done with much more ease, less stress, compassion and perhaps even joy.
We will be practicing restorative yin yoga, combined with mindful touch and before this practice prepare the body for this deep rest by various embodiment practices which might include gentle movement, awakening of the meridians, self massage…just to give you an idea:))

~ Last Sunday marked the 9th edition of Yin Yoga Meets Bodywork—and wow, what a journey it has been~
What started as an experiment (with no idea whether it would work) has blossomed into a regularly sold-out event. It’s become something we deeply enjoy organizing, and it brings us so much joy to see the positive impact it has on the well-being of our participants.

Our initial intention was simple: to make the concept of mindful touch more accessible to a wider audience. We wanted to offer this experience to those who, for various reasons, might not be able to book a private session. Combining embodiment practices with yin yoga felt like the perfect synergy—a truly heavenly combination that continues to surprise and inspire us.

✨ Why Touch Matters:
Touch is one of the first senses we develop and remains essential throughout our lives. It fosters safety, connection, and healing. During our sessions, mindful and intentional touch deepens your experience of Yin Yoga, helping you move beyond overthinking into a fully embodied state of relaxation and release.

I found a new space for my 1:1 sessions🎉 Win a free Thai Bodywork session!!!

I'm so excited to share that I have found a new work space. It's located in the centre of The Hague, as part of the Holistic centre called Hilot Maharlikan.
The spots are available from next Monday 4/11🙌

As you might notice, I have a new name for my sessions. I did not fully resonate with the Thai Yoga Massage, for different reasons. As I use a blend of different techniques and styles, I prefer to use 'Thai Bodywork'. You can read extra information about it and its benefits in the carousel.

To celebrate this 'new beginning' I'm giving away a free 90-minute session!

~ Claiming and creating alone time in my relationship as a projector with an open root and a split definition😇 ~

This has been a challenge for me in every long-term relationship, especially when not living together. I’ve noticed a recurring pattern: we typically spend most of our free days together, unless there are other plans. On one hand, that seems logical—what’s the point of being in a relationship if you barely see each other? But on the other hand, why should most of my leisure time be dedicated to my partner?

I find it particularly hard to remember the value of ‘alone time’ having undefined Root and Sacral center and a split definition. When I’m around someone with a defined Root (my son) or a defined Sacral (my boyfriend—both root/sacral defined), I end up absorbing and amplifying their energy. Sometimes, I even find myself more active than my boyfriend, who has three motor centers defined! On the other hand, having a split definition means that I have a need for connection. As there are two distinct areas within my chart, my tendency is to seek connection with others to ‘bridge’ my split and experience a sense of completeness and flow. Naturally, I need alone time to reconnect with my own energy and to discharge the energy that I’ve picked up from others.

I’m not always aware of this need, but recently when my boyfriend was abroad and my son had a sleepover, I stayed home and felt such relief from the usual pressure to be “doing something.” When I’m alone, I don’t feel that pressure. I’m quite good at relaxing without any guilt, when completely alone.

The issue is that I find it hard to simply ask for alone time without any specific reason, especially because I already spend a fair amount of time alone. It feels strange to ask for even more of it. Do you feel me? After thinking about it, I came up with a solution: I’ll plan a free weekend for myself every 5-6 weeks (or whatever time frame works for us). During that weekend, I can do (or not do) whatever I want without having to consider anyone else. Wow, what a luxury!

~ What if you don’t resonate with your Human Design reading ~

The main goal of a Human Design reading is to provide insights into your unique energetic blueprint, helping you understand how to align with your true nature. But what could be the reasons for not resonating with it?

👉Lack of self-awareness & conditioning: The goal of the reading is not necessarily for it to feel like "you" right away :-) If you don’t recognize yourself in the information, it’s likely you’re living as your ‘not-self,’ shaped by conditioning, and you may not be aware of it.

👉You’re not ready for this information yet: You need to be open to receiving and experimenting with the information to make changes. That’s why it’s best to be genuinely drawn to explore Human Design, rather than booking a reading impulsively. It took me about 4 years to feel ready for a reading after first hearing about Human Design.

👉The reading felt overwhelming or complex: If you’re new to the system and receive a full reading, the amount of information can be overwhelming. You might feel lost, unsure of what to do with it all. I recommend starting with some self-study or booking a fundamentals reading that explains the key aspects of your design and offers practical tools for applying it in your life.

👉Resistance to certain aspects: Human Design can challenge your self-image or habits, which might cause discomfort or other ‘negative’ emotions. At first, you might not like what you hear because it asks you to behave in a way completely different from what you’ve been used to. Give yourself time to let the information settle and process.

👉Incorrect birth time: Human Design readings are based on your exact birth time, so if this information is incorrect, the reading might be inaccurate. Do your best to find your birth time, even if it means requesting an official document.
