How are you feeling?
This morning, I heard it again:
“Leslie, I’m so grateful for the things you share with me. I can actually feel moments of happiness. I never knew what that felt like.”
Can you imagine that?
I can. I’ve been there too.
And no — it’s not a quick fix. It’s a process that takes years.
The way it works is actually simple — just like breathing.
But if you were never taught how, how could you possibly know?
Feeling comes in phases and layers. It’s like slowly defragmenting yourself and becoming more whole.
You begin to slow down, soften, and realize you need less.
I’m finding more joy in my (simple) life, and the connections I create are becoming more real, more meaningful.
I can clearly sense what no longer fits me — and what does.
My needs are crystal clear, and I trust myself to follow them.
And sometimes… I don’t.
But even that is part of the path — to experience, to understand myself even more deeply.
There have been many “feeling chapters” in my life.
Before I could feel love, connection, or happiness…
I had to feel the pain. I had to sit with loneliness, with emptiness.
Eventually, you arrive somewhere in the middle —
where there’s more peace.
Peace with both the light and the dark.
Acceptance that all of it is okay.
That you are okay.
And that you can always make new, healthy choices — for yourself.
Every day, we die a little and are born again.
We sleep. We wake.
So many of the patterns you repeat in adulthood are the result of choices — conscious or unconscious — that you made yourself.
They become blind spots, automatic habits.
Realizing that?
Deeply liberating.
It gave me, twelve years ago, the courage to change direction.
To rewrite my own script.
And yes… it also means you can’t blame anyone anymore.
Tough luck 😜
No more hiding 🙃
