๐Ÿ‘‹ Welcome! My name is Somesh Valentino Curti. Since 2011, Iโ€™ve been working as a psychologist for expats in Amsterdam. I speak English and Italian, and my practice offers a safe space to explore whatโ€™s not working in your lifeโ€”and to begin changing it.

๐ŸŒฑ Whether youโ€™re feeling stuck in anxiety, facing relationship challenges, or struggling with emotional instability or addiction, our work together can help you uncover whatโ€™s underneath and reconnect with what truly matters to you. My aim is to help you feel better about yourself, meet your essential needs, and grow toward more openness, sensitivity, and aliveness.

๐Ÿ” My approach is structured yet intuitive. We start with a first session to get to know each other and then move into a 7-session Basic Program to explore your situation, your goals, and the right therapeutic tools. We evaluate and deepen as needed, always at your rhythm.

๐ŸŒ€ I also co-facilitate Emotional Release Workshops and sessions with my wife and colleague, Tessa Curti-Nagtegaal. This work combines emotional expression, meditation, and body-oriented therapy to reconnect you with your inner vitality and truth.

โœจ My experience is rooted not only in my training and degrees but in my own personal journey as an expat and seeker. Iโ€™ve worked in Italy, India, Greece, and now Amsterdamโ€”each step enriching my perspective. Iโ€™ve gone through my own transformations and now support others from a place of presence and compassion.

Our workshops are for people who are done with overthinking, tired of being stuck in their heads, and ready to come back to their bodies.
We guide you through powerful practices like:

๐Ÿ’ฌ Sharing circles and role-playing for connection and insight

We will not teach you much theory. We help you to have an experience. This is about getting up and feeling whatโ€™s going on inside you, move it, express it, and let your system do what it knows how to doโ€”release.

Yes. Sometimes people scream at our workshops! And often they end up feeling very relieved afterwards. Itโ€™s not weird, Itโ€™s actually really natural.
We hold a space that is deeply respectful and safe, so you can let go at your own pace. No one is ever forced to scream, dance, or even speak if they donโ€™t want to. But chances are, by the end, youโ€™ll want to try it for yourself.

Who are we?
We are Tessa & Somesh: both deeply trained in Psychology and Body-oriented Therapy as well as spiritual traditions like Advaita Vedanta, Ta**ra, Sufism, and energy work.
Weโ€™ve been in this workfield for about 15 years now and weโ€™ve lived and breathed everything we share! Think of us as experienced guides who are passionate about helping people return to their bodies, emotions, and inner clarity.

You might feel curiousโ€”and a little nervousโ€”about joining a workshop that includes movement, voice, and emotion. Thatโ€™s completely okay.

We create a safe and joyful space where you can reconnect with your body, express whatโ€™s been held inside, and feel more present and alive.

You donโ€™t need to be experienced. You donโ€™t need to scream. You donโ€™t even need to talk much if you donโ€™t want to. Just bring yourself, as you are.

Emotional Release Group & Individual sessions

Emotional Release Group & Individual sessions are designed and lead by Somesh Valentino Curti (NIP and EuroPsy Psychologist) and Tessa Nagtegaal (Psychologist and Relaxation Therapist). We work together in Amsterdam since 2011 supporting people who are facing a difficult moment in their life with group and individual sessions. We help you to become more aware of the sensations and emotions at the core of your issue, to open up to these feelings and to express them in a dynamic and direct way.

We combine various ways of exploring emotions together with expressive and body-oriented techniques from Western and Eastern culture such as: Bioenergetics, Encounter, Shaking and (active) meditations, in order to allow an emotional release through body and voice. All will happen in an appropriate and safe setting in which feedback from the therapists will help you to understand and heal your issues and group and couple sharing will make you feel more understood, connected and less alone.
