JIN SHIN JYUTSU SELF HELP HOLDS FOR VARIOUS DISCOMFORTS:
Use the chart included to see the placement of the acupoints or SEL (safety energy locks), to help yourself for the following projects. Hold each position for 20 min, and if there is no release repeat.
From: Mary Bumeister's Jin Shin Jyutsu
Jin Shin Jyutsu can be used as a preventative measure, to relieve
acute and chronic conditions, and is very effective as first aid in urgent situations. Its immediate accessibility allows us to use it for situations requiring on-the-spot care. It can be used when help is otherwise impossible to obtain, such as travel. It is beneficial as an adjunct to conventional methods of treatment. Its gentle, noninvasive nature assures that its application is safe and does not interfere with other treatments.
The following quickies can be used on yourself or others. (This is not an exhaustive list):
Abdominal pain: High 1’s (1-2 inches above the inside of knee)
Alertness: Sit on your hands, either on the palms or back of your hands (SEL 25)

Or Hold mid-left neck with the right hand, the left-hand holds above right eyebrow, then the base of the right cheekbone, then right color bone. (left 12 and right 20. 21. 22)
Reverse hands to do the other side.

It's also very important to clear any tightness and restriction at the Waistline, so that the bust/chest energy is free to descend.
Holding the inner knee joint at the 1's will help if there is a blockage in the throat. Otherwise assume it's the waistline and 14's that need clearing.

GOOD FOR EVERYTHING:
Hug Yourself – cross arms and grab under each underarm, with thumbs resting on the chest pointing up toward the collarbone.
This hold helps release any limitations, all accumulations, and helps keep us in rhythm forever.
This hold also helps with arm and shoulder tension.
