When life asks you to pause.

The last two months were heavy - helping my ageing parents move in Singapore, holding all the emotions, and choosing rest over “regular programming.”

Every month, I send out an email from my wellness account, . It’s a mindful check-in sharing small rituals, reflections, and resources to help you navigate life with more clarity, calm, and intention.

This month’s note is a gentle return:
💫 what the past weeks really looked like
💫 how mindfulness kept me steady (labeling emotions, impermanence, compassion)
💫 why rest + boundaries matter when capacity is low
💫 5 small grounding practices that softened the edges

If you need permission to take space - this one’s for you.

What do a banana, a beach, and a performance coach have in common?

They all taught me something about *evolution* this month — the kind that doesn’t come from pushing harder, but from softening into what’s actually needed. ✨

In this month’s newsletter, I’m sharing 5 small shifts that made a big difference in my energy, focus, and mindset — including new research on women’s hormones, sneaky ways I’m boosting protein (without overhauling my meals), and the creative power of unstructured joy.

It’s not about doing more.

It’s about giving yourself permission to shift — even when it feels a little messy.

First pic is how a previous edition helped a reader. Last pic is a sneak peek into what could help in this month’s edition.

**🧘‍♀️ Thinking about doing a silent retreat… but not sure which one?**

Austere ashram or luxury in the Alps? 10 days of strict Vipassana or a Yin + Dharma blend with daily yoga and psychology?

There are *so* many silent retreat options out there — and I get asked this question all the time:

**“Which one do you recommend?”**

In my latest post, I’m breaking down the choices — from retreat centers I’ve personally attended to the ones I recommend based on different styles, budgets, and experience levels.✨

🌸 **Midlife, mountain hikes & the magic of spring light.**

I turned 48 last month.

Something about that number feels different - like I’ve properly landed in *midlife*. But instead of resisting it, I’m embracing it. There’s a strange kind of freedom in not trying to be anywhere other than *here*.

That theme kept showing up this past month - from hiking up a surprisingly steep mountain to witnessing Zurich bloom in pink blossoms and sunshine.

There’s so much beauty in the in-between. In the *middle.*

This month’s **5 Good Things** email is full of gentle reflections on shifting seasons, reclaiming your energy, and finding awe in everyday steps.

Every 3 months for 1.5 years, I meet my teacher and learn more about the foundations of the meditation practice.

What started as a physical movement practice of yoga some 25+ years ago is evolving into the subtler aspects of practice… from vinyasa to Yin to Yoga Nidra and now vipassana. What’s beautiful is all these methods support and build on each other, like a matrix to help self-understanding.

The unpacking, learning and unlearning never ends… and a great reminder of how important it is to take the time to drop in, give the space to explore and be surrounded by a community of like-minded nerds who get it too. 🤓

Some visual reminders of this gorgeous long weekend at .

Also thank you for being the ever welcoming host and the mega cupping bruising session 😂😅💪 (this level of purple was right after our sesh) ❤️

🛑 Too many tabs open in your brain?
📌 Tasks piling up faster than you can check them off?
⏳ No time to pause, let alone breathe?

If life feels like a never-ending to-do list, I hear you. But what if the answer wasn’t doing more—but doing things *differently*?

My March email is packed with small shifts that create BIG relief:

✅ A refreshingly simple way to reclaim energy
✅ A sneaky trick to reduce mental overload
✅ The #1 thing that helped me feel less drained

The best part? These take *way* less time than you think.

👉 But it’s only going out to subscribers.

Last week, I gave a wellness workshop to our Visual Experience team about: Micro Practices for Resilience. Because we all need better tools to support our nervous system in rest and recovery.

Whether you have 1 minute, 5 minutes or 15 minutes, there’s a mindfulness practice you can use to ground, calm or focus. Using different breathwork practices and a guided visualisation, we built upon each technique and ended with a 20-minute yoga nidra, or non-sleep deep rest (NSDR), that combined everything together.

I was in my element! Loved every bit of it and so happy it was well-received and helpful. After a while being away from teaching yoga, meditation and guiding workshops, it was a great reminder to start getting back into it again now that I’ve had a few months to settle into a new job in a new country 😮‍💨 (and thanks for the opportunity and reminder how much I love this wellbeing work).

Still taking my time and not rushing into the next thing… I share these tools so that really I can be reminded of what I need to keep putting into practice too!

ps. Did you see the videos where everyone lay down on the sofas and floor EVERYWHERE? (even in the far corners on the other end!) 🫶

Lately, I’ve been feeling a bit stuck when it comes to making new videos or meditation recordings. The pressure to produce more content has been weighing on me, and honestly, it’s been hard to create with all the life/work transitions - moving countries, settling into a new job, and adjusting to a bigger corporate environment.

But instead of pushing through, I’ve decided to listen to the pause, take a step back, and reflect on what’s going on inside.

This month’s email newsletter dives into this very theme:
✨ What if growth isn’t always about doing more?
✨ Could the key to progress actually be in the pause?

I’m learning that stillness, reflection, and rest are just as important as action.

If you’re feeling the pressure to constantly be ‘producing,’ this is for you.

Tap the “5 Good Things” link in bio to read more and subscribe to this month’s email. Let’s explore how sometimes, doing less is actually more productive.

✨ Feeling Stuck or Out of Sync? Let’s Reflect Together.

As we close out the year, I’ve been reflecting on life’s impermanence, evolving routines, and the power of small, intentional actions. 🌿

This month, I’m sharing:
➡️ Legacy & Impermanence: A reminder to align your actions with what truly matters.

➡️ Evolving Routines: What to do when your habits stop working for you (small changes = big shifts).

➡️ Reflection Prompts: Simple questions to help you reset and find clarity for 2025.

✨ Ready to reflect and reset?
I share 5 good things in my monthly email to inspire balance, growth, and intentional living. 💌

My first encounter with Sharath was in 2009 at a 5-day Mysore workshop in Sydney. It was my first time practicing with nearly a hundred others, with him counting in Sanskrit, “ekam inhale…”

I struggled to hold a headstand, and he noticed right away, coming over to help. Every day, in that packed room, he somehow made his way to me to assist again.

The focus and collective energy were so inspiring that I had to go to Mysore to practice in his shala, which I did two years later. That experience was even more magical, filled with the same energy but magnified. Decades of dedicated practice from thousands of ashtangis through Pattabhi Jois to his grandson.

Though Ashtanga isn’t my daily practice now, I’m forever grateful for Sharath lighting my path when he did, teaching me about discipline, lineage, impermanence, and gratitude.

RIP, Sharath-ji 💔
