The Dutch Healthcare Institute (Zorginstituut Nederland / ZIN) and EUNetHTA are looking for interns. See below for the descriptions of available projects. The duration the internships varies and is between 5/10 and 20 weeks. Interested? Or further questions? you can send an e-mail to: a.k.mantel@uu.nl.

• Discussion paper on Patient Reported Outcomes (PROs):
within the framework of the EMA/EUnetHTA work plan, a discussion paper on the ongoing initiatives related to PROs at the HTA and regulatory level has been planned. Major contributors will be IQWiG, HAS, EMA and the SSO, although additional HTA bodies interested in the project will be identified. The trainee would contribute to define the project outline, conduct literature search, elaborate a draft of the scientific article based on authors’ inputs under the supervision of the SSO, and co-author the scientific publication.

• Survey on the dates of HTA submissions:
the EUnetHTA Secretariat has launched a survey among EUnetHTA partners to collect data on the dates of HTA dossier submissions by manufacturers in different Member States. The trainee would systematically collect the data from the different HTA bodies involved in the project and draft a final report under the supervision of the SSO.

• EUnetHTA Forum:
following the EUnetHTA forum in April 2019, a discussion paper summarising the key messages and lessons learned from the meeting is being planned. The trainee would contribute to the outline of the paper, elaborate a draft based on the inputs received from other participants and co-author the scientific publication.

----------EVENT THIS FRIDAY----------

Friday April 6th

Medicines developers and governments try to get effective and safe drugs to patients as quick as possible.
During this seminar, we will learn about the development of Blincyto for acute lymphoblastic leukemia by Amgen.
How did it receive an early conditional approval from the European Medicines Agency, what was the reimbursement process, and how has this led to early patient access?

We will have a speaker from Amgen and a speaker from the Dutch Medicines Evaluation Board.

The seminar will take place in DDW M1.22 from 15.00 – 17.00. Afterwards, there will be drinks and snacks to have a good start of the weekend.

This seminar is open to everyone, students and staff, and we highly recommend everyone to join this seminar series!

We kindly ask people to register by sending an email to science.fmf@uu.nl.

Pharma companies have crossed the line in product pricing of new Medicines according to the chairman of the National Health Care Institute (ZIN) Arnold Moerkamp [1]. The association of Biotech Industry (HollandBIO) replied with the statement that the chairman of ZIN pushed things too far with those words and pushed the solution which lies in collaboration and discussion even further away [2]. What do you think?
