It's alcohol awareness week in Europe.
Every 10 seconds someone in EUROPE dies from the effects of alcohol.

Different types of cancer that can be traced back to "moderate" alcohol use.
Heart and vascular disease
Stomach and bowel diseases
3/4 of the violent crimes are under the influence of alcohol.
Alcohol in traffic and of course people who drink so much that they eventually die.

This is therefore more deadly than terrorism or other causes of death that we as a society pump a lot of money into to combat.
But because there is a large lobby behind this, we don't do anything about it and it is our own choice!!

Addiction is not a choice.

I recently heard someone say that we are now drinking where we were smoking 20 years ago.

I hope so people

Yesterday we had an online meeting from differents part of Europe. We couldn't see each other face to face last April but we did it yesterday virtually. It was a pleasure to have for first time a Croatian representation.
