Eden Baths

Eden Baths Water Sanctuary & Art Haven
We focus on nurturing well-being and spirituality and exploring more-than-human agencies through artistic research.

Rooted in our concerns with genocide, ecocide, and the urgent need for regeneration, Eden Baths emerges as a water sanctuary to counter destruction with creation, to foster life, and to reconnect and heal with nature’s wisdom.

The Stabian Baths in Pompeï.

These public baths (the oldest in the city) were decorated with refined stuccos in which mythological figures are inserted in circles and braid elements highlighted by the use of color, the same of the period.

A Wild Sauna Emerging...

This written piece by Anika Spindelmann feels so precious, heartfelt, and alive. Thank you, dear Anika, for translating the spirit of our time together at Eden Baths into words — the Wild Sauna and Parliament of Species gathering last September still reverberates in these lines.

Her writing brings us right back there — to that shared breath between humans, elements, animals, plants, and stones. Truly beautiful work, Anika.

🧬 The Nobel Prize Breakthrough That Showed How Cells Clean and Heal Themselves

Japanese biologist Yoshinori Ohsumi earned the Nobel Prize in Medicine for discovering a natural process that keeps us alive and healthy — autophagy.

This process acts like the body’s internal recycling system. When food is scarce, cells break down their damaged parts, convert them into energy, and rebuild themselves stronger than before.

Ohsumi’s work revealed that autophagy isn’t only about endurance — it’s vital for long-term health. It protects the body by removing faulty cells linked to aging, cancer, and neurodegenerative diseases.

His findings reshaped our understanding of fasting and healing, proving that the body’s quiet moments of rest are when it truly repairs itself.

Vytautas Michelkevicius
Sat 18.10, 15:00 – 20:00 Ūmėdė

Smells of birch and oak leaves in small temporary community gives you a chance to travel to the other festival stage with no physical moving .

Vytautas Michelkevicius is a writer, curator and some kind of artists who was busy to practice and discuss “media art” since 2000s. However in the recent 5 years he was thinking how media artists can work when they are off-grid and off-line. He got into traditional smoke sauna experiences, started to run a 100 years old Nothern-Eastern smoke sauna in the forest and remembered his experiences from teenage years when he was wandering in Lithuanian meadows and collected medicinal herbs. They were later used for traditional teas in herbal pharmacy run by his family. Writings can be accessed here https://vilnius.academia.edu/VytautasMichelkevicius
