in France are for public use in the same way as in the UK. The letters on the signs in France are reversed - ‘DAE’ instead of ‘AED’, used in the UK. This sign was near to the entrance of the old house at a local market.

Angina medication sprays, students have had on my courses. Two doses with 5 minute gaps are taken. If the pain does not subside within 10 minutes after rest, assume heart attack and call 999.

Nice example of a medical alert band, worn by one of my learners.

Worth knowing that medi-alerts come in all sorts of shapes and sizes and would be something to look for, once your casualty is in the recovery position.

The Resuscitation Council emphasises looking at mobile phones, too - where medical info may be stored.

First aid link… should you find a casualty who is impala’d (that’s terrible 😳) on anything; where possible leave them in place, control any life threatening bleeding and call 999.
