The perfect way to end the year!
For my 40th birthday in December, Ørjan gifted me a spa & floating experience and it was incredible 😍

Floating in warm salt water creates near weightlessness, helping the nervous system relax, lower stress hormones, and release deep tension.

Research suggests that floatation therapy (sensory reduction) can lower cortisol levels, reduce muscle tension, and promote mental clarity by shifting the body from “fight or flight” into a parasympathetic, restorative state.

Vi har kjøpt en Reverse Osmose-maskin 💧

Forskning viser at drikkevann i Norge kan inneholde små mengder:

• mikroplast (finnes i så godt som alt norsk vann)
• PFAS (“evighetskjemikalier”)
• medisinrester
• hormonforstyrrende stoffer
• pesticider
• tungmetaller i spor
• klor og biprodukter
• organisk materiale fra innsjøer og elver

Dette er ikke nødvendigvis så farlige nivåer, men det betyr at vannet ikke er helt rent.
Og vi kjenner ennå ikke alle konsekvensene av dette.
Derfor ønsker vi å være på den sikre siden – spesielt med små barn.

Reverse Osmose fjerner nesten alt dette og gir oss vann som er:

✨ uten mikroplast og PFAS
✨ lavere i kjemiske rester
✨ mer hydratiserende
✨ bedre for energi, hud og restitusjon
✨ mindre belastende for lever, nyrer og tarm
✨ en ren base for mineraler og elektrolytter

Baksiden? RO fjerner også mineralene i vannet – og norsk vann er allerede mineralfattig.

Korn har bare vært en del av kostholdet vårt i ca. 10 000 år – under 4 % av menneskets historie.

Da vi begynte å spise mye korn, skjedde det noe med helsen vår:

🔸 vi ble lavere
🔸 bein ble svakere
🔸 tannhelsen ble dårligere
🔸 flere mangler oppstod
🔸 mer inflammasjon og infeksjoner

(Dette ser man tydelig i skjelettfunn før og etter jordbruk.)

Fullkorn anbefales først og fremst fordi det er billig, lett å produsere og et bedre valg enn fint mel og ferdigmat – ikke fordi korn er nødvendig.

Mange merker raskt bedring uten korn:
• bedre fordøyelse
• mindre betennelse
• mer stabil energi
• klarere hud
• færre blodsukkersvingninger

Korn inneholder også antinutrienter som kan irritere tarmen og hemme opptak av mineraler.

Det fine?
Du kan helt trygt kutte ut alle kornprodukter.
Kroppen trenger dem ikke – og du kan få alt du trenger fra mye bedre kilder:

🍠 rotgrønnsaker
🥦 grønnsaker
🌱 frukt og bær
🌰 nøtter og frø

Dry Brushing - traditional practice, my favourite hack!

I’ve been dry brushing for almost 8 years now. While it’s an old, traditional practice used in many cultures, the strongest scientific support we have today is for mechanical exfoliation - the physical removal of dead skin cells.

What the research actually supports:

🔬 Mechanical exfoliation
Dry brushing helps remove dead keratinised cells from the skin’s surface. This can improve skin texture, smoothness, and the absorption of oils applied afterward.

🩸 Temporary increase in microcirculation
Mechanical friction can increase local blood flow for a short period — that warm, pink glow you feel afterward. This is a physiological response to stimulation, not a detox effect.

🌿 Lymphatic effects: traditional, not proven
Dry brushing is traditionally believed to support the lymphatic system. However, current clinical research does not show strong evidence that dry brushing significantly improves lymphatic drainage.
Still, many people (including me) experience a sense of lightness and reduced puffiness, which may relate to surface-level stimulation rather than deep lymph movement.

🌡️ Sensory stimulation
Light brushing activates the skin’s sensory nerves, which can create a mild energising effect — a nice nervous-system “wake up.”

My routine:
1–2 minutes of brushing towards the heart, then I apply a nourishing oil blend with essential oils.

There are a lot of conspiracy theories circulating about Big Food and Big Pharma secretly working together. Some of them go way too far — but the concerns behind them are real.

However, there’s no clear evidence of a coordinated plan to keep people sick.
But the way the system works still ends up benefiting both industries — while harming public health.

🔥 The real picture

1️⃣ Big Food drives chronic illness
Ultra-processed, addictive, low-nutrient foods dominate modern diets.
They fuel inflammation, cravings, blood sugar problems and long-term disease — all while generating massive profit.

2️⃣ Big Pharma profits from the consequences
The chronic conditions created by modern food habits
→ become lifelong diagnoses
→ require continuous medication
→ and turn into predictable revenue.

No conspiracy needed.
Just incentives.

3️⃣ Their interests naturally align
Both industries influence research, guidelines, government policy and what people believe is “normal.”
They don’t need secret meetings — the system already rewards sickness, not prevention.

I dag hadde vi skikkelig lokal luksus på bordet ✨
Døla-gris fra nærområdet - mørt, saftig og laget med sous-vide for perfekt tekstur og ren smak.

De fleste er syke, slitne eller har helseplager i dag.
Høyt blodtrykk, overvekt, betennelser, fordøyelsesproblemer, hormonkaos, søvnvansker, lav energi – listen er lang.

Dette har blitt den nye normalen.
Men normalt betyr ikke friskt.
Det betyr bare at mange har det likt.

🧠 Vi lever i et samfunn der det er normalt å:
