IBD has no borders 🌍 | World IBD Day – May 19

Today, on World IBD Day, we join the global movement to raise awareness and break the silence around Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD). At Genetic Analysis, we are proud to contribute through science and innovation.

In collaboration with Akershus universitetssykehus (Norway) and University of Gothenburg (Sweden), we are developing a microbiome-based test designed to support patients with IBD/Ulcerative Colitis (UC).

Using gut microbiota profiles, the test aims to guide physicians in choosing the most effective treatment strategies. With patient recruitment and bacteria marker panel development completed, we are now focusing on advancing the algorithm behind the test, built on our proprietary GA-map® technology.

Backed by funding from the Research Council of Norway, this project represents a significant step forward in personalized medicine for IBD patients—offering new biomarkers to improve diagnosis and treatment decisions.

Let’s keep pushing boundaries to improve the patient journey.
