In observance of World Stroke Day 2025, a special cycling event titled “Pedal to Prevent” was organized to raise awareness about stroke prevention and the importance of a healthy lifestyle.
More than 100 registered and professional cyclists participated in the ride, which began at Maharajgunj and concluded at the Budhanilkantha Temple. The event emphasized the role of physical activity in reducing the risk of stroke and encouraged the community to adopt healthier habits.
As part of the program, stroke risk assessments were conducted by our nursing team for over 110 local residents and cyclists. Additionally, Dr. Lekhjung and Dr. Raju Poudel provided valuable health education sessions focusing on stroke symptoms, prevention strategies, and the importance of early intervention.
The event was graced by the presence of the Chief Guest, Mr. Mitharam Adhikari, Mayor of Budhanilkantha Municipality, who commended the initiative for its community-focused approach to promoting health awareness.
The “Pedal to Prevent” campaign served as a powerful reminder that regular exercise, timely check-ups, and awareness can go a long way in preventing stroke.
Together, we pedal for a healthier, stroke-free future! 💙
