Happy 206th Bhagwati Jatra !!!
The festival which signifies the winning ceremonial of the Anglo-Nepal War back in 1877 lead by Colonel of Palpa Ujir Singh Thapa in Butwal. After winning with the British soldiers Ujir Singh Thapa built 3 storey temple in the Name of Ranaujeshwori Bhagwati Mata in Tansen and started to celebrate the winning ceremonial in Tansen, Palpa Nepal. From then it is celebrated in the month of Bhadra. Every year in the eve of Krishna Janmaasthami the chariot of Bhagwati mata is pulled and circled the temple for three times and day after tomorrow it is being carried along the street of the Tansen and celebrated.
