$109 for this little biometric health ring and honestly… SAY WHAAT?! 😱💍

I took a gamble because reviews these days feel sponsored by someone’s cousin with a discount code 🤨 but at this point spending $100 IS a risk in this economy. Petrol costs a kidney, 2 bags of groceries from Woolies somehow equals $100, and my financial advisor has officially put us on a BU-JEE 💸

BUT… this made the cut and yes, sometimes risks have no guarantees but they can come with great reward🙌🏼

I’ve had it for 4 days and I still can’t understand paying $600+ for an Oura Ring AND a monthly subscription when this tiny thing tracks steps, HRV, heart rate, stress, oxygen levels, workouts and sleep …without monthly subs👀

Does the Oura Ring also shock you when you become unproductive and announce when it’s time to p**p? Because how much tracking do we actually need 😂

I’ve also been battling with the whole “giving away my biometric data” thing because privacy basically left the chat years ago 🫠 BUT I’m trying to understand my body better, both intuitively and through patterns. I’m on a bit of a healing/fitness era and I need all the help I can get before menopause kicks the front door in unexpectedly 🚪😂 Instead, I want to sort some things out before she knocks and instead of giving her my soul, I plan on giving her the finger🖕🏻

And before the holistic crew tackle me over EMFs… yes darl, I checked ✅ Ran straight to my friend’s house with an RF meter and this thing barely registered. Meanwhile my phone lit the meter up like a pokie machine 🎰

Anyway. For NOW this is my chosen evil with purpose🤝

School uniform… to bed… I’ve seen enough🙅‍♀️.

And don’t even get me started on those polycotton uniform socks after one wear 🧀🤢

I’m convinced this “no street clothes code” didn’t come from my mum. This was 100% those Thursday 7pm EST 20/20 episodes on ABC! I still haven’t recovered from the hotel black light investigation episodes 30 years later😩.

Please tell me I’m not the only one who grew up with a strict “no street clothes on the bed” rule???

Step into the forest. Fresh air, sunlight, stillness, and healing energy is part of THE design. We forget how much healing is at our finger tips and not in plastic bottle or needle.

🚺🩸 Ladies… did your period show up early this week?

Mine came nearly 2 weeks early, with a slow build of emotions before it hit the precipice…followed by 🩸. Not my usual pattern.

Curious… did yours shift too this intense week in April?

Could be stress, routine changes, hormones… or the April 17 new moon. There’s also a stellium in Aries right now, which astrologically is said to shake things up a bit. People believe the moon can influence our cycle. I’ve noticed it personally over the years too!

One of my clients also had her first proper cycle after months of irregularity, poor flow, and brown blood. Her’s came early too and arrived in crimson fashion🙌🏼 Good sign her body is responding to the remedy she took 3 weeks ago, even if the timing surprised her period tracker.

Coincidence… or something in the air?

Or do I need to start Googling “Is this a sign of peri menopause 🤣

🤖 SYSTEM RESET🔘

Being in, near, or hearing water naturally calms the brain.
That is why we bathe children before bed. It is not only about getting clean. It helps their nervous system reset.

Adults work the same way.

Moving water holds your attention just enough to quiet the mind. Stress hormones drop. Thoughts slow. The body reads safety and steps out of fight mode.

On an intuitive level, water carries things away. When you place your hands under running water or sit in a bath, your system releases what it has been holding. The current gives permission to let go.

This can be a bath, a shower, a pool, or even a sink. A few quiet minutes is enough if you are present.

Next time you feel frazzled and dysregulated, skip belly breathing for this time. Try water for a fast nervous system reset.

First Light Advantages! It’s Christmas here in NZ🎄🎅🏻✝️

I should tell you all the reasons why these 4 little exercises work to wake you up and get you moving, but I am not. It is Christmas. Simple today, details another time.

If it is cold where you are, open a window instead of heading outside to get light. Take off your glasses so your eyes actually get the message.

Put a good pinch of sea salt under your tongue. Wait 5 minutes. Drink good quality water.

Pause the coffee. Eat breakfast first. Even if that means a pre breakfast like me at 6:30am within 1 hour of light connection😉

Cold exposure is optional, not required, but helpful. Hold a handful of snow for 30 seconds, 3 rounds. Or step outside in light clothing for 3 minutes. Or do it my way!

No TYLENOL here, let’s work with your body innate healing ability instead😉!

My son had a friend sleep over.
Sunburnt. Headache. Skin hurting.
He asked for Tylenol.

The cabinet was empty of painkillers because we generally don’t fill it!
We avoid medication in our home.
We push natural medicine as far as it can go before even considering pharmaceuticals.
Not perfect, just intentional.

So we supported his body instead of silencing it.

This is how I live. I stay authentic.

Seventeen years in, Christmas in a bikini still throws me👙🏖️☀️🎄.

So I bring the memories with me and layer in Kiwi rituals. A high tide manu off the wharf, croissants with ham brie and peach after prezzies, lamb or ham on the BBQ, chilly bins full of cold drinks, and meals always outdoors.
