On International Paramedics Day, we recognise the extraordinary care and courage of our Paramedics, EMT's, Patient Transfer staff, Emergency call centre operators & all first responders and express our deepest gratitude to Wellington Free Ambulance, Hato Hone St John and all other emergency service agencies across Aotearoa New Zealand.

Thank you for putting the wellbeing and interests of others first, working tirelessly in the most challenging of circumstances and often at great risk to yourselves.

We also want to acknowledge our retired paramedics & first responders who promoted the profession to aspiring paramedics and students.

Working in contaminated water presents numerous serious health risks, making appropriate PPE essential for personnel safety.

FENZ Equipment & Logistics and the Working Safely in Water Project Team have taken an excellent initiative to provide USAR personnel with "Fit for Purpose" PPE for protection against contamination while working in hazardous environments and contaminated water.
