Do you use nature to support your work? 🌱🌟

30/05/2026

I’d rather be outside.

But the guide I’m creating won’t write itself.

So I’m borrowing a little energy from the garden before heading back to my desk.

Nature first. Then work.

Happy King’s Birthday Weekend. 🌿

Life design starts with one simple action.

Writing down what you really want in life, with honesty.

I didn’t magically appear on Aotea Great Barrier Island running a stargazing business.

Years ago, my husband-to-be and I sat down and wrote out the life we hoped to create. We planned a transition from my corporate work to a simpler, more intentional life. We built flexibility into the plan. We created ā€œeasy outsā€ in case things didn’t work. We budgeted carefully. We saved enough money to have breathing space and time.

And honestly? It wasn’t always easy.

There were tight seasons. Moments of uncertainty.

But because we had planned ahead, we had something to fall back on when things got hard. That gave us the confidence to keep going.

A meaningful life rarely happens by accident.
It is designed, step by step, decision by decision.

If you’d like support uncovering your aspirations and making that first step to designing a life you want to live , I can help.

Tonight, beneath an endless sky, I was reminded that this method of earning money is so much more than a job — it’s a vocation.
Sharing wonder, awe, and joy with beautiful guests celebrating a milestone birthday felt deeply special. The universe brought us together ✨

🌿 Happy Mother’s Day 🌿

To all the mothers who have poured their heart, soul, and a little stardust into raising a beautifully unique human.

Your care shapes lives in ways that ripple far beyond what you can see — steady, quiet, powerful, and full of love.

Today we honour you. šŸ’«

My breath.

As a child, riding my horse through the neighbours farm, I first noticed it—
breathing deeply through my nose, in and out,
coming back to calm after the rush of galloping and jumping.
Sometimes my horse and I would breathe in rhythm,
both of us settling, softening, returning to stillness.

Later, before exams, I would lean on it again.
A steady inhale, a long exhale…
trusting the knowledge I needed was already within me.

And through harder seasons, during times of real pain and uncertainty,
my breath stayed with me.
An anchor. A quiet steadiness.

But only recently have I truly experience it.

Through the support of an amazing woman, and taking the time to notice,
I’ve realised—consciously—just how powerful my breath is.
How it can ground me, centre me,
and open a doorway into stillness and calm.

It feels like remembering something I always knew…
bringing what was once subconscious into the light,
and choosing to use it with intention.

So today, I invite you to pause.

Step outside.
Stand in nature.
Take a deep breath in through your nose…
and a long, slow breath out.

See what you notice.
See what shifts.
See if you can touch that stillness—
and feel what it brings.

It might not happen instantly.
So stay with it.

The healing powers of nature 🌊

I’ve been sick the last couple of days.
The full package… a nose like a tap, a throat on fire, and zero energy to get anything done.

But even just two minutes with the ocean on my feet, fresh air on my face, and my dog racing around in pure joy… it lifts something inside you.

I even collected a little bottle of salt water to rinse my nose with later — not glamorous, but honestly, it helps šŸ˜…

And when I’m starting to feel better, one of my favourite things is to fully immerse myself in the ocean.
Cold water, salty air, nature all around me… then straight back to warmth afterwards.

Nature doesn’t always cure things.
But it can soothe us, ground us, and remind us we’re part of something bigger.

Whatever’s going on for you today, take two minutes to enjoy the little patch of nature beside you šŸ’š

A weekend close to nature 🌿

Hiking the Aotea Track with friends and our kids — slowing down, noticing the little things, and soaking it all in.

Big views, blue mushrooms and plenty of laughs… the kind of time that fills your cup in the best way ✨ šŸŒ•

Have you paused and let nature do its thing today? šŸ„šŸŒ±

Cheese 😊✨

A simple smile.

I used to play a little game on my London commute—could I catch someone’s eye… collect a smile?
A tiny exchange, a shared moment.

A little gift. A quiet giggle 🤭
Lightening up my day… maybe theirs too?

Will you share a smile with a stranger? 😊 Let me know in the comments how it made you feel. šŸ’›
