It’s fair to say that I’m obsessed with helping people.
It started in high school - but probably earlier. I love to help people make connections (meet other cool people) and I love to help them figure out what they want and then #uptheirbrave to make it happen!
And these days, a lot of people are wanting better wellness (and some are wanting a bit of residual income).
Apparently there are 4 main reasons that people start to 'do' doTerra as a business and share oils with others...
1) They seek/value the Community
2) Finances
3) Freedom
4) Global impact
For me, I certainly didn’t need ANOTHER thing to do... It started with wanting to help people and appreciating the financial potential and particularly 'leverage' (in other words, what if I got laryngitis and couldn't speak at events/coach my clients?) with a doTerra team I can still earn while taking time for me or watching my kids in the pool etc. But now... That I've grown my biz along with my beautiful team to the rank of Diamond, I'm able to shift my focus to Global Impact (and impact here in NZ too).
I've always been obsessed with helping people (and I'm a bit of a geek International Development degree, Masters of Environmental Education etc) and now I feel like I've come full circle back to that *Ask me about the trickle-down impact of building a well in a small village on girls/women... while also empowering people I've met along the way (my mums in If Only They'd Told Me and my biz women with Go to Girl - Connecting Women in Business).
I decided a few years ago that behind my 3 businesses I'm on a mission to 'Save a million marriages' and help to halve the (shocking) su***de rate in New Zealand. And I'm not trying to do it on my own...
Start with self-care and then help those around you.
