Last month, Lifeline Aotearoa was proud to attend the annual BONZ event - a high-energy competition where Smith&Smith vehicle glass technicians showcase their incredible skills across a range of challenges.

As Belron NZ’s chosen charity partner, we were honoured to be part of this fantastic day, raising vital funds and awareness to support mental health and crisis services across Aotearoa. A huge thank you to everyone who contributed, supported, and shared in our mission to ensure no one faces their darkest moments alone.

This , we celebrate the incredible volunteers at Lifeline Aotearoa and the vital role they play in supporting New Zealanders in crisis.

Working alongside our paid counsellors, volunteers help answer the constant stream of calls from those in distress, bringing compassion, diverse skills, and unwavering dedication to every three-hour volunteer shift.

Their impact goes beyond the call centre - volunteers carry the skills they gain into their workplaces, communities, and personal lives, becoming powerful advocates for su***de prevention and mental health.

To our amazing volunteers: thank you for making a real difference. You are deeply valued. 🙏💜

A huge shoutout to fundraising hero, Fynnbar, who bravely chopped off all of their hair to support mental health through Lifeline Aotearoa!

Not only did Fynnbar make a bold change, but they also raised over $1,700 to help Lifeline continue answering calls and supporting Kiwis in crisis. What an incredible effort, making a big impact!

Thank you, Fynnbar – you're an absolute star! 🙏

This and every day, we know that bullying can have serious impacts on mental wellbeing, effects that can last long after the bullying stops.

Standing against bullying means standing for mental health. It means creating spaces where everyone feels safe, valued, and heard. It means speaking up when we see someone being mistreated.

Remember, you're never alone in your journey. Whether you're experiencing bullying or supporting someone who is, our team are here to listen. Call 0800 543 354 or text 4357 for free, non-judgmental support.💜

Presbyterian Support Northern (PSN), Lifeline Aotearoa's parent organisation, recently made an oral submission to Parliament's Justice Committee, voicing our organisation's strong opposition to the Principles of the Treaty of Waitangi Bill.

One of PSN's values is Tangata Whenua and we recognise Te Tiriti o Waitangi as a guiding document in our service delivery.

PSN's GM Māori Joe Waru and CEO Shaun Greaves highlighted our concerns including the potential negative impacts this Bill could have on the health and wellbeing of our Māori clients.

Read more about our organisation's stance here:

Presbyterian Support Northern was pleased to be selected by Parliament’s Justice Committee to make an oral submission on the Principles of the Treaty of Waitangi Bill last week.
