My approach to deciding what to eat...
Keeping a 90% tight diet (means controlled carbs and low fat) with 10% as 'meals off' allows me to lean up.
When I'm 80% tight on my food choices, with 20% of meals having more carbs, I don't lean up.
This is with training and cardio being a constant.
Is your next meal going to be a 'training meal' or a maintenance meal, or will it send you backward?

To help with weight management, try carb-cycling.
For example, if you have carbs with dinner you then either have a low-carb breakfast, or you could even skip breakfast.
You want to give your body an opportunity to burn those carbs off before you put more in.

A client was asking about my motivation. I replied " I not so much rely on motivation, more that I chose to stick to a process..
1. Morning Fast (made better with good coffee)
2. Is it a training meal or a meal off? 90% training meals is the goal.
3. What's my protein?
4. Do I need carbs/have I earned carbs?
5 Lunch and dinner have salad or vegetables.
6. Be organised. You are then allowing yourself to make a good meal choice.
I have small indiscretions regularly, but allow my body the opportunity (a.m. fasting) to burn them off.

Toasted hot cross buns with butter, along with a good coffee, was a great way to start each day over Easter.

Now I'm back to the morning fasting (coffees allowed) followed by a plant-protein shake.

I want to sharpen up a little in the next few weeks as a goal. You have to have a goal and a date to work towards. 💪

After my morning fast, rolling with a bit of Paleo on the plane. Low carb protein bar and some natural fats.
Sundays leg session will be from World Gym, Burleigh Heads. Might get to work on my tan as well.

I find it so easy to string together consecutive rest days. There is always something else that needs doing.

So even if I don't feel like it, I'll make myself train. I just turn up with my pre-workout drink, and after a few warm-up sets, I often find I'm into it!

The carbohydrate food group is large and quite varied. It goes from simple sugars, like sweets/lollies/confectionary to highly fibrous foods like broccoli. Crazy when one end of the carb spectrum can lead to impaired insulin metabolism and illness, and the other end is anti-inflammatory and alkaline which helps return the body to health (as long as the high insulin-stimulating carbs are omitted)

Sat 3pm…have to get my workout done. Can’t be bothered, could easily have a beer. Just went into the gym, put Rark Up music on and started. Starting is the hardest part. Ended up having an intense workout. Hit Back and a little Shoulders…with plenty of protein to recovery and grow.

Ozempic, a weight loss drug, works by paralyzing the stomach, to make you not be able to process food correctly.

Side effects are gastrointestinal issues, that stay after coming off the drug (there are now lawsuits in progress). 30% quit after 3 months. Weight gain occurs after discontinuation.

Sold in the USA by a European company Novo Nordisk (now the most valuable company in Europe), but the EU doesn't allow this drug for obesity in Europe.

The reports of a mass increase in mental health disorders from Ozempic. This is because 95% of serotonin is made in the stomach but Ozempic messes with it.

Serotonin is a monoamine neurotransmitter. Its biological function is complex, touching on diverse functions including mood, cognition, reward, learning, memory, and numerous physiological processes such as vomiting and vasoconstriction.

I'll pass thanks

Three clinics spoken to by the Herald had seen a spike.
