‼️We're making important changes to our donor screening rules from 4 May.

All donors will soon be asked the same questions about recent s*xual activity, replacing our current questions that focus on men who have s*x with men.

The Medsafe-approved changes will bring us in line with blood services internationally, and strong evidence shows New Zealand will continue to have one of the safest blood supplies in the world.

This legend is Gordon.
He is an incredible example of what it means to give back.

Gordon is a fortnightly plasma donor at Manukau Donor Centre and has been consistent since 2024!!

However, Gordon Armstrong doesn't just donate, he actively champions blood and plasma donations within the dirt car racing community that he's so well-known and respected in.
He’s always looking for ways to spread the message, from organizing a club talk for members to inviting us into the action at race weekends.
Gordon’s passion, generosity, and leadership make him a true local legend!
