After two weeks , Noah was settling calmly, waking only for one feed (something that suited this child and their family goals) and has a much more predictable rhythm to his days and nights. An example of how responsive and adaptive sleep consultancy makes a real difference to real families. Our chosen settling method was not servicing little Noah so we made an adjustment and within days we saw progress that just kept getting better from there. Whenever I get to work with families the trust they place is me is never lost on me, I feel grateful every time.

It’s something I’ve heard from so many mums over the years, often when they’re feeling overwhelmed. And every time, it breaks my heart a little 🤍

Because the mums who say this are always the ones who care so deeply and are doing everything possible to give their child the best. The ones who keep trying, learning and growing. The ones who simply just want the best for their child.

And that is not failing. Far from it.

If you’ve ever had this thought, I hope you can take this in; You’re doing your best, even on the tough days. Your child feels your love far more than they notice the moments you are questioning yourself or that time you raised your voice and said something you didn’t mean. You don’t need to have, do or say everything perfect. You don’t need to have every answer. You just need to be the mum who shows up with love and do what is right in the moment, and you already are.
Remember, your child sees your love, not your doubts ✨

A persons early years are simply the most life forming years. Through this time our brains neurons are reacting to experiences, creating pathways that will shape the brain for a lifetime. By age 3 the brain begins to ‘prune’ away the least used pathways, keeping the information that is consistent and ongoing.

What does this mean in terms of toxic stress? Toxic stress in the early years can have lasting impacts on young children and how they navigate the rest of their lives. However, the brain is clever, it prunes away the least used pathways meaning it keeps the usual experiences of the brain. So that one time you lost your cool, won’t have lasting impacts, it’s what you do MOST of time that really makes a lasting difference. Creating a safe loving environment promotes healthy brain development, through connection, love and consistency.

This is why I love working alongside families in both ECE and sleep. They go hand and hand, understanding how crucial my role is and how much of difference I can make. I’m passionate about supporting families to succeed in ways that are meaningful to them ❤️

Paige and Amelia were such a joy to work with 🤍Normally, I would recommend keeping toddlers in a cot until closer to three, as their impulse control is still developing. But sometimes, we don’t get a choice and that’s when it’s all about working with your toddler, not against them.

As I am qualified in early childhood education and a specialist diploma in the first 1000 days, giving me a unique insight into toddler behaviour, brain development paired with sleep, giving you peace of mind, skills and strategies to work with your toddler rather than fighting constant battles.

Amelia is strong-willed and oh so clever. At times, we leaned into that, setting clear and achievable boundaries. Toddlers will always test the limits, but knowing where the line is actually helps them feel safe and secure.

Amelia now happily settles herself into her bed and stays there all night! 🌙✨

The 5 S’s are a gentle and effective way to calm newborns in the early months.

✨ You don’t need to use all 5, sometimes just one is enough!

⚠️ Always follow safe sleep guidelines: place baby on their back, in their own space, with no loose blankets or toys.

Which of the 5 S’s works best for your little one?

Struggling with your little one’s sleep? You don’t have to do it alone. I have limited volunteer spots available while I finish my certification. Clients have said working with me has been “life changing”

“My husband and I finally got our evenings and nights back, and the whole household feels more rested and calm. I’m so grateful for Paige’s guidance and would absolutely recommend her to any parent feeling unsure about sleep training. She makes the whole process feel doable and supportive, not scary at all”

Naps in a dark room aren’t about confusing day and night, they’re about helping your little one get the best rest possible. Every baby is different, but darkness can be one of the easiest ways to improve sleep quality. A dark space for naps and night often leads to happier days and better nights. What’s your nap routine like?

Bedtime feeling more like a battle than a peaceful end to the day?
You’re not alone, for many families, evenings can be the hardest part.

The good news? With a few gentle tweaks, bedtime doesn’t have to be a struggle. It can become a calm, connected routine that supports better sleep for everyone.
