🎬 The Kaihaka and the Healer

“Ko te rongoā, ko te aroha.”
Our medicine is love.
Nā Suzanna Daniels

Te Kapa Haka o Ngā Ringa Āwhina is more than a kapa haka group — it is a space of belonging, healing, and strength.
A safe space where Māori health professionals come together through waiata and haka, reconnecting with culture while continuing the mahi of caring for our people.

This short documentary follows those who are passionate of both worlds *the kaihaka and the healer*, the challenges they face, as they uplift one another, strengthen identity, and serve whānau, hapū, and iwi through both culture and care.

Our whānau share some pearls at the end for any one considering a career in service and health “it’s a beautiful thing once you discover your capability, because everyone’s capable” na Marie Pouwhare
