coming up..

Animal Rights Club and .are.tohora

Please come along and help protect our ocean. A fun afternoon for the whole whānau.

Finishing with talks with guest speakers and a shared plantbased potluck 🌱

There will be spot prizes too. 🩵

📍 North Brighton Beach, Christchurch
📅 Saturday, 21st March 2026 | ⏰ 2pm
Down on the sand in front of the community centre at 88 Marine Parade.

This is an opportunity to make a hands-on difference for the environment while connecting with others who share a love for the sea.

Together, we’ll remove rubbish and plastics that threaten our precious wildlife – from seabirds to whales – and celebrate the power of collective action. Every piece of litter removed is a step towards a cleaner, healthier ocean.

🌊 What to bring:

- Reusable gloves (if you have them)
- Buckets or reusable bags for collecting rubbish
- Sun protection, water bottle, and a smile

This is a family-friendly event – everyone is welcome.

Strawberry Fairy 🍓

Sophie, a.k.a. the Strawberry Fairy, is a dynamic entertainer with a sweet smile and serious skills, including face painting, balloon animal twisting, juggling, and hula hooping. She loves both bringing smiles to children at community events and birthday parties, as well as delivering her jaw-dropping stage performances with flaming fire props and extraordinary LED light-up hula hoops. Strawberry Fairy will bring her magic and fun to Aroha flow, host hands-on circus activities for children and adults, and showcase her flying dragons!

We are so looking forward to it!

Te Whē Wānanga
with Māmā Mihirangi Te Whē:

The Atua of Vibration & Sound
Awakening Your Gifts - through the Whakapapa of Vibration & Sound

Mihirangi is a Tohunga o Te Whē, an artist, musician, and facilitator of wānanga rooted in the vibrational whakapapa (genealogies) of Io. Her life has been a journey of returning home - to her Tūpuna, to traditional Whare Wānanga o Io, and to the spiritual pathways that have guided her since childhood.
Raised in a world of waiata, performance, and tikanga, on a farm in Mangapeehi and at Rereahu Marae, Mihirangi grew up immersed in culture and surrounded by Kaumātua and Kuia, Elders and
teachers.

This wānanga applies Te Whē - the Māori cosmology of vibration and frequency, to enable participants to explore sound and vibration as pathways to the gifts of sight, healing, divination and creation. It oﬀers insight into how the whakapapa of vibration ﬂows through the elements, the environment, and the human form as a responsive expression of Io - Creator & Creation.

Futher wānanga description will be available in our fb group for confirmed Aroha Flow attendees.

Aroha Flow Wānanga Announcement ✨️

Tiana Te Moana

Of Rongoa nga Mata 🌿

Tiana is a Rongoā practitioner and kaiako based here in Ōtautahi.
She is Tūhoe and is from the Te Urewera region in Te Ika-a-Māui. (North Island of Aotearoa).

Tiana is a long-time tauira of Maramataka, the traditional Māori lunar calendar. As a kaitiaki (guardian) of
te taiao (the natural environment) she shares her knowledge and kōrero on Maramataka to encourage us to have a deep respect for the environment and an understanding of the
interconnectedness of all living things.

At Aroha Flow, Tiana will guide us on an evening Maramataka wānanga under the starlit sky. We can't wait! ✨️

Tiana and her whānau are long-time supporters of Aroha Essence Festival and have also been part of our wāhine circles at
Goddess Gatherings By The Sea, our beach cleans, and Matariki Celebrations.
We are delighted to have them back with us at Waitangi weekend.

Sama’s Sound Sanctuary at Aroha Flow
Step into a world of vibration, stillness, and inner listening.

Sama will guide a collective sound journey, weaving Tibetan bowls, handpan, gongs, chimes, and drums into a soothing tapestry that relaxes the body and clears the energetic field.

Throughout the weekend, her Sound Healing Tent will be open for mini private sessions — a chance to lie back, release, and let the frequencies move gently through you.

Whether you drop into the group immersion or receive a personal tune-up, this is an invitation to rest deeply and return to yourself.

✨️Nomadic Soul Foraged Art ✨️

Will host a traditional carving and basket wrapping wānanga.

Samson is a world nomadic traveler born in Vanuatu. His art has been forged through his life experiences, learning, and sharing with many different cultures. Samson lives in respect with nature and all its beauty. All his crystals/stones have been gifted to him by Mother Earth throughout New Zealand. Up to 95% of all his creations are made from ethically sourced materials from Mother Earth and sacredly honoured, then forged by him.

Samson honours traditional, neolithic methods to produce his unique artistic expressions. All pieces are individually handcrafted either with very little use of modern tools or completely crafted using stone tools forged by him and nature. All of Samson’s pieces are one-off originals inspired by his life journey.
