Hi All, as many of you already know I moved my clinic from 105 Brighton mall to 16 Tonks st, North Beach 2 weeks ago. I am now situated a block behind North Beach surf club. My clinic is now called Lighthouse Healing.
I have started a new page as a point of contact on social media, however my cell is still the best way to contact me, as social media isnt where i hang out much at all.
I look forward to spending time with you in my new space @ Lighthouse Healing ..... supporting you to 'come home' to yourself through the healing light that we all are 🤍💛🤍

CREATIVE RECOVERY

One of my mentors, Julia Cameron, describes creative energy as coming from the same source as spiritual energy.
My healing journey has involved many tools, and I would have to say that the "Artist Way" support groups that I have belonged in have been very instrumental in where I am today. My creative journey began as a toddler drawing & playing house. Later poetry, writing, baking and the way I cared for my pets & horses. On finding the Artist Way I had resistance to being part of a creative recovery group - I thought I had to be one of those gifted artists & felt very judgemental and attached to the outcomes of my artistic pursuits. I worked through the Artist Way book by myself first and then found the courage to join the power of an Artist tribe - a place to embrace the gifts of creativity, release criticism and judgement around outcomes & a place to be seen & validated for who I am & what I offer right now in all it's imperfections. I dove into process painting and writing, particuarly from my inner child & I discovered a deep way of healing that works for me, and at times inspired others as well.
It was in my Artist Way Tribe that I came across a tiny ad, in the newspaper (under a painting course) for a new course starting at the College of Holistic Healing for Acupuncture. I went along to the talk and was blown away - how come I hadn't come across this medicine before? I was at that time 'dragging the chain' working in hospital pharmacy - a job that was safe, but soul destroying as I supported medicating society, when I knew there had to be a better way. It was through the support of my Artist Way friends that I found the courage to "take a leap and the net will appear", and study some 'out there' crazy medicine..... which I love & still can't get enough of! Today I see myself as a healing artist.
Creative recovery does not just include creating art, it involves releasing your creative energy in every way, transformation & process - it could be trying different clothes, baking or cooking something new, changing your bedroom around, or hey choosing a different career path.

Lung 5 Chize FOOT MARSH

This point is the water point of the lung meridian, a great point to clear and cool the lungs of phelgm, inflammation, shallow breathing, grief & anxiety. By regulating the moisture of the lung healthy boundaries within the self and outside world are also established.

Lung 6 Kongzui GREATEST HOLE

Kongzui helps to remove stagnations within the lung and it's meridian on all levels. This may include resignation, grief, loss, sadness, longing & respiratory symptoms. By releasing these stagnations we are then able to move forward in a lighter more inspired way.

Lung 7 Lieque BROKEN SEQUENCE

The energy flow in the body leaves the lung meridian at Lieque to enter the large intestine meridian, thus this is a very powerful point to empower balance between receiving quality and letting go of what we no longer need.

Lung 8 Jingqu MERIDIAN GUTTER

Jingqu, the metal point on a metal meridian, empowers the essential qualities of metal, empowering emptiness, purity, inspiration and connection to value. it helps to drain all that is unclear & lost its essential worth.

Lung 9 Taiyuan GREAT ABYSS

Taiyuan is the earth point of a metal meridian, thus being the mother point that feeds and nourishes it's child. This point is where source nourishment is obtained both on an earthly level and heavenly level through the breath of the divine.

Lung 10 Yuji FISH REGION

Yuji is the fire point on the lung meridian capable of bringing warmth to a potentially overly rigid, cold, brittle metal element.
Negativity, criticism, self righteousness & grief are transformed with a sense of compassionate joy and warmth.

Lung 11 Shaoshang LITTLE MERCHANT

Shaoshang is the final point on the lung meridian. It is a wood point and can bring the qualities of wood's plans, visions & proactivity to metals aspirations. If wood is too strong within it will cut it back, keeping order & organisation to woods potentially out of control activity.

This concludes my brief descriptions of the lung meridian's acupuncture points. The meridian also continues internally to connect with the lung, large intestine etc

INNER CHILD WORK
So another healing tool that has really worked for me over the last 30 odd years is Inner Child Work. My experience of the Inner Child is that part of me that holds emotions, dreams, goals & experiences related to my younger years. My Inner Child also embodies my Higher Spiritual Self. There are numerous books out there now about healing our inner child. The one that spoke to me 'back in the day' is the one in the photo called "Recovery of Your Inner Child". It opened up my world to writing and drawing using my 'non dominant hand'- the voice of my Inner Child/ Higher Self. My dominant hand symbolizes my Inner Critical Parent or my Inner Nuturing Parent. I ask my Inner Child a question with my dominant hand and answer with my non dominant hand.
The healing that has happened with these 'Self Parenting' exercises has been truly amazing!
I will add some photos of some of my inner child art work to this post when I can sort my phone camera issues out.
Because of my love of the five elements I have also enjoyed relating to my five elemental children through the eyes of the Tao - this may, one day become a workshop I will offer in the near future :)

QIGONG "the INNER SMILE" with Master Mantak Chia

Hello everyone, As well as sharing with you about the elements and acupuncture points, I would also like to share with you different healing tools that have worked for me over the years. One of them is QiGong. There are numerous styles and teachers of QiGong, however the one I always come back to is Mantak Chia. He has numerous books available as well as many youtube clips. The attached interview has ads and the word "spiral" is mistakingly translated as "sparrow" :), however it will hopefully give you some idea about "The Inner Smile". This is a basic QiGong practice encouraging us to cultivate a loving, healing relationship with our organs. There may be much better videos by Mantak Chia on youtube about how to do the Inner Smile, so if you find something better please let me know.

Lung 2 Yunmen CLOUD GATE

Grief in the lungs obscure the heart's fire in the way that clouds obscure the sun. The cloud of grief can be embodied as phelgm in the lungs, a chronic cough or constant sinus dripping, symbolizing the embodiment of grief as internal tears. For a person who is chronically negative as if "followed by a cloud", "Cloud Gate" can renew the virtue of inspiration by allowing a glimpse of heavens sun.

Lung 3 Tian fu HEAVENLY PALACE

A Window to Heaven point, empowering us to find the highest within ourselves as inspired by heaven. As "the storehouse of god-eternity" this point can enable us to let go of imbalances of the metal element, such as; perfectionism, disdain and low self worth. This point may truly enable us to forgive, let go of the past, and be receptive to divine inspiration so we can move ahead in life less burdened.

Valiant White, in it's brillance and purity, harmonizes the dysfunctional expressions of resignation on the one hand and self-righteousness on the other

Lung 1 Zhong Fu 'Central Treasurey'

This is the first point on the lung meridian and has one of the strongest acupoint connections to the lung organ itself.
Central Treasurey is where the energy transmits from the last point of the liver meridian and enters the lung meridian. As the liver is about our dreams, visions & aspirations and the lung about connecting to divine inspiration - it is where aspirations are infused with the divine energy & righteousness of the Heavenly Father, through the power of the breath.
Central Treasurey has a connection to acupoint Ren 17 'primordial child' in the centre of the chest - a place where our ancesteral qi is stored. Our personal ancestry includes what we bring to each moment from our past,
This is combined with the divine breath to create inspiration & righteousness, empowering us to do the right thing, in the right place at the right time.

1.The lung meridian connects us with the Heavenly Father through the power of the Breath.
2. Issues with our earthly father can manifest in the lung or large intestine meridians as asthma, coughs & colds, eczema, breathing & skin issues, bowel issues etc
