After a number of years dealing with anxiety issues in my workplace I decided to dedicate a portion of my life to contribute something in the fight against this destructive state of mind. As a global community we discuss the sadness and irrationality of su***de. From this privileged position of a distant onlooker, I can honestly say how much this story has distressed me, it just feels so wrong on every level. I can not put myself in this young girls shoes and understand what she has been through or the state of her mind. Non of us want anyone to go through pain and suffering, but I can not believe this was the best society could do for this young lady. NZ has debated the possibility to make Euthanasia legal, for a terminal issue I can see the benefits, but how and where does society draw the line. Never in my wildest dreams could I imagine something like this would be acceptable. I contrast this with the debate New Zealand will have in the next 12 months relating to Cannabis, this has moved very fast from arguing its use for medicinal purposes to legalising it for recreational purposes. It's for this reason I can not trust society with euthanasia legislation but encourage more work to be done to support mental health & acceptance of hypnotherapy

A 17-year-old Dutch girl chose to be euthanised at her home last week after she said the pain of being r***d and molested as a child had become “unbearable.”
