The Oxford Yoga Fitness workout class on Fridays at 11am is on Special in September: One class for $10 or 2 classes for $20
One hour fitness workout with elements from Yoga, Tai Chi, Pilates, Dance and Qigong:
🌿 Starting with movements of Tai Chi to warm up and bring you into your body.
🌿 Continue with Yoga to open up, balance and strengthen the body, including hips and joints.
🌿 With Pilates we tone the key muscle groups.
🌿 We finish with a relaxation practice.
This is for Beginners as well as experienced students. This offer is designed for newcomers and individuals who have not attended a fitness class this year.

🌱 Tai Chi/Qigong class from 11am-12pm

Registration is open for bookings.
Your 1st Qigong or Yoga class costs $10*
After your 1st class, you can decide if you'd like to sign up for the term or attend on a casual basis.

Here's what you can expect in this Tao Yoga class:

> Deep breathing oxygenates the body
> We open the joints and spine, promoting flexibility and strength
> Tao Yoga introduces practices to open the meridians (energy channels) in the body
> We conclude the class with the "Inner Smile" meditation

I will offer modified options

This is what awaits you in this Qigong/Tai Chi class:

> We begin with a 10-15 minute Qigong warm-up sequence
> Learn Tai Chi breathing "The Crane opens its wings" and the flow of the "Brush over the knee"
> Experience an "easy-to-follow" Tai Chi sequence
> The final part is a "Stillness Qigong" exercise performed while sitting on a chair.

What is Tao Yoga? This style of yoga features postures similar to those of Hatha Yoga. It is also influenced by acupuncture, which involves opening acupuncture points through breathing and awareness to promote health and increase vitality.

What is Qigong? It's similar to Tai Chi, but easier to learn.
Qigong is a gentle art form that combines movement and stillness to centre oneself.
Through natural, unobstructed postures, the meridians, the energy channels, open, allowing the life force "Qi" to circulate and increase freely.

Winter is approaching.
In nature, energy is retreating.
In trees, it withdraws from the leaves and branches and returns to the trunk and roots.
The energy enters a yin phase and slows down.
